Scott Morrison has high-fived children, joined worshippers in song and declared he “still believes in miracles” in the wake of his wipe-out election loss at the Perth church run by controversial tennis legend Margaret Court.

In his first visit to WA since his election defeat in May, the former prime minister attended the celebratory event to mark the 27th birthday of Mrs Court’s Pentecostal Victory Life Centre church and open its Perth Prayer Tower.

It was also Mrs Court’s 80th birthday on Saturday.
