A Wanneroo home has been gutted after a raging fire engulfed the property overnight.

Fire and Rescue Service firefighters were called to the single-storey residence on Santa Way about 3.20am on Tuesday.

Once there, they found smoke billowing from the brick and iron house.

With the cause of the fire still undetermined, it is expected fire investigators will be called in to examine the scene on Tuesday morning.
