Mark McGowan was quick to get out and see the sights of Rome after landing in the Italian capital on an historic nonstop flight from Perth.

The Premier, dressed in a white business shirt, was spotted touring the famous Colosseum and was pictured with his touring party outside an Italian office appearing to promote Perth.

On landing in the ancient city, Mr McGowan posted on Facebook: “ I’ve just landed in Rome on the first ever Perth to Rome direct flight.
