City of Nedlands mayor Fiona Argyle has spearheaded the refusal of three display homes — including one built for people with special needs — because she does not want to see “the Truman Show in Dalkeith”.

The council dealt with three applications for display homes in the suburb at its meeting on Tuesday night.

One of the homes had been specifically designed to allow parents of a child with autism to be able to see him throughout the house.
