Mark McGowan has confirmed he will be following his own advice and donning his face mask once more, despite repeatedly stressing it was not necessary to reintroduce indoor mask mandates in WA.

The Premier on Sunday confirmed he would be putting on his mask “as appropriate”, saying it was “the right thing to do”.

It comes as the State Government, in a public advertisement, urged West Australians to wear a mask indoors ahead of what Mr McGowan has previously described as one of the hardest winters WA has ever faced.
