An alleged drunk driver — who blew four times over the legal alcohol limit and had no licence to drive — is lucky to have escaped serious injury after crashing her car in Redcliffe on Sunday.

The crash at the intersection of Great Eastern Highway and Coolgardie Avenue happened after the 42-year-old driver ploughed her Ford Focus into a traffic light at 9.13pm.

The woman had a passenger, a man in his 40s, in the car at the time of the crash who also escaped injury.
