We all know the concept of a cold case right - that dusty old file sitting on a shelf somewhere that a wise old copper picks up and starts digging through.

Well these days, its not like that at all. Cold case teams are well funded, well staffed - and in WA Police’s case very successful.

In the last two and a half years, detectives have gone back to and solved 20 heinous crimes, uncovering criminals - and giving victims a voice after all those years.

West Australian reporter Phil Hickey joins us now to talk about the operation, and the results so far.
