We’ve been told by the Premier time and time again that as case numbers rise, so will the hospitalisations. But it seems WA is in a better position than other states at this part of their outbreaks.

With just under 6000 active cases in WA, there are just 17 people in hospital and no one in ICU. And as WA prepares to enter level 2 restrictions tomorrow, it’s been revealed that the number of people in hospital with COVID were actually there because of another illness - they just happen to have COVID as well. To unpack this is the WA president of the Australian Medical Association, Dr Mark Duncan Smith.
