The inquest into the death of seven-year-old Aishwarya Aswath will start today.

Since the little girl’s death at Perth children’s hospital on April 3 last year, Aishwarya’s heartbroken parents have been fighting for answers.

The tragic story of Aishwarya’s death after being taken to the emergency department, only to be left to wait for hours - has uncovered cultural issues at the hospital and a staff shortage crisis crippling the WA health system.
