South Africa has taken a major step in tackling diabetes with the launch of its first National Diabetes Dashboard, giving healthcare workers near real-time access to critical patient data. The dashboard, was developed through a multidisciplinary effort by the National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS), in collaboration with the Gauteng Department of Health, National Priority Programmes, and the Wits Diagnostic Innovation Hub.
