The Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) on Migration has instructed citizens to treat the 30th of June as a normal day for the country. The IMC, which includes the Ministries of Home Affairs, International Relations, Justice and Constitutional Development, Police and Labour and employment, said this while briefing the media on the outcome of its weekly meeting on Friday in Pretoria. Briefing the media, Justice and Constitutional Development Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi emphasized that members of the public are not permitted to demand documents or check the immigration status of foreign nationals.
