The hospitality sector continues to show resilience despite global economic pressures that threaten to bring down sectors to pre-pandemic levels. According to Stats South Africa the tourism sector saw total arrivals reaching 8.92 Million in 2024, making a contribution of 8.8 percent to GDP. This has enabled the support of 1.68 Million jobs from hotel decor, furniture to textiles, food, beverages and guided experiences.
