Finance Minister, Enoch Godogwana is set to appoint a new Board at the Public Investment Corporation, following the resignation of the Deputy Finance Minister David Masondo as the funds chairperson and other board members. Godogwana is in consultation with Cabinet regarding this matter in line with the Public Investment Corporation Act. President Cyril Ramaphosa this week released the National Water Action Plan. As South Africa's water crisis reaches a breaking point, the presidency says the National Water Action Plan (NWAP) outlines strategic interventions to address the water crisis over the short, medium and long term, with the aim  to address the root causes of the water supply challenges in many municipalities. Some opposition parties in Parliament expressed their disappointment with the judgment of the Western Cape High court - that granted President Cyril Ramaphosa's urgent application to interdict the Impeachment Committee. Ramaphosa sought the interdict, pending his review application of the Section 89 Independent Panel report that found he has a case to answer for the Phala Phala theft. The committee was established following a Constitutional court ruling in May - directing that it should investigate whether Ramaphosa should be removed from office.
