There is a very significant, “exhausted majority” of Americans looking to move past this rotten moment in American life. They have lost trust and faith in government, business, media and not-for-profit institutions at a moment of technological, cultural and economic upheaval. Fascism did not rise in the 1930s because it was strong, but rather, because democracy was weak. The cycle is repeating itself with a new extremism rising in 2020s America. On the podcast – consistent with the mission of The Warning newsletter offered on Substack and The Warning YouTube channel – I will be joined by interesting guests – some familiar, and some you may never have heard of – to discuss the political and cultural currents that are shaping our times, as well as the unseen forces driving politics that are rarely discussed on cable news. It's important for you to hear from a diverse range of voices – not just me – about the issues facing America today.

Donald Trump went to Ohio and declared that Republicans were on the verge of defeating their political enemies “once and for all.” In this episode of "Dead Air," brought to you by the Save America Movement, Steve Schmidt and Dean Blundell break down Trump’s escalating rhetoric, Pete Hegseth and the dangerous dysfunction at the Pentagon, and the enormous question looming over the midterms: If control of Congress changes hands, will Democrats actually use their constitutional power to impose accountability?

From Article I and the power of the purse to China, Iran and America’s national security, this is a conversation about what’s happening now — and what must come next.

The most consequential elections in America may be the ones you’ve never heard of. Steve Schmidt sits down with Kim Rogers, president of the State+Local Election Alliance (SLEA), to expose the overlooked local races that will determine who counts, contests and certifies America’s votes in 2028. From county clerks to commissioners and judges, they examine the spread of election denial into local government, the extraordinary power of these little-known offices, and why protecting the integrity of American elections begins at the very bottom of the ballot. Brought to you by the Save America Movement.
