‘I grew up in a home with 10 siblings, I’m the second oldest which was a major job. We didn’t have a lot of Christmases growing up after my father died, but what I do remember is getting food out of the garbage can behind the store and one of my classmates seeing me and bullying me for it.
‘I’m back in school right now and in some of the classes I’m the oldest one, but I’m OK with that.’
