Session 18: Building a Bridge | Acts 17 with Cathe LaurieAs Christians, we see life differently than non-Christians. We hold different views about business, money, sex, marriage, death. We enjoy many of the same things in life (food, art, music, and sports to name a few) but realize even the good things can become an idol. Yet even in the Church, many have a shallow understanding of Scripture or how to express a biblical worldview.
In this episode, Cathe discusses how to influence culture right where you are, in your world of work, school and home. Paul gives us a great example for how to engage others in a way that builds bridges. He listened, dialogued, and debated—and he did so with respect and compassion. But even Paul, persuasive as he was, often didn’t get the response he wanted. Being an effective witness isn’t measured by immediate results, so don’t shy away. May God grant us grace as we make the truth of the gospel known to others.
