Preserved heritage has an impact to identity, dignity and self-determination of a nation and is often undermined. It is the priceless heritage that helps our people to find relevance in their living spaces, challenges life and socio-economic matters. The preservation and promotion of this heritage relies on the heritage practitioners being able to access resources from institutions.
The National Heritage Council regards the under-funding of the heritage sector as part of the impediments to development hence we prioritise providing support to Community heritage projects with funding for our heritage to remain relevant and contribute to the country’s sustainable development.
