Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canada will be implementing new tariffs on foreign steel, as the feds pledge financial support for the Canadian steel industry. He says there is no trade deal on the table that Canada can accept right now, particularly with its closest neighbour. But as August 1st draws closer, the Carney Liberals are still talking to their American counterparts, as President Trump continues to dangle 35 percent tariffs on all Canadian goods after that date.
