Meet Usman Umar Dagona, an undergraduate scientist from Yobe state, who’s story is a testament to the power of creativity and ingenuity. Despite facing limitations in resources, Usman has demonstrated an exceptional ability to harness his knowledge of science and technology to fabricate remarkable machines, including a robotic car and drones.

Usman's journey into the realm of innovation began to garner attention in 2019 when he clinched victory in the prestigious Imaging National Chemistry competition held in Abuja. He triumphed over a pool of over 1,700 competitors, breaking a decade-long record by being the first northerner to take the position. The Imaging National Chemistry Competition is a contest organized by the federal government that gives Chemistry students the opportunity to share knowledge and solve science-related problems.

Recently, Dagona created a project that could change the lives of Africans, a robot that detects minerals. He named it the Universal Minerals Detection Robot.  Joining us on the line is Usman Umar Dagona; inventor of the Universal Minerals Detection Robot
