Faith has always been part of Charles’ life. The grandson of a Methodist preacher, he never experienced a season of completely walking away from God—but admits that for much of his life, faith wasn't always his first priority. That changed in August 2024, when Charles and his wife, Samantha, lost their son Samuel to stillbirth. Charles describes the loss as the moment that forever changed him and moved his relationship with God to the “front of the line” in his life.

In the midst of devastating grief, Charles made a conscious decision not to turn toward anger or resentment, but to turn toward God.
