HP Boyz with HP Onit and HP YJ join me for their first interview in over 3 years. This was our first artist group ever on the show and we got to hear a few exclusives from the group. HP Boyz represent the South East of Melbourne more specifically Hampton Park where the boys provide insight into the harsh realities of the environment. In this episode we go through so much of the HP Boyz history from released music, group changes, One Four Documentary and the Drill Rap scene. An episode I am so grateful for that we could get the boys on. It has been a hell of 2023 and what a finish to the year with an episode for you all with two of the biggest rap artists in the country. Jack Hanley is beyond an inspiration and I did all I could to get this man on the show to get the juice off him which I think we delivered. The Crazy Running Man as he is known just achieved a feat that stretches the brain with running 50km a day for 50 days. Why I admire Jack, is he came on the show and shared the darkness he went through struggling addiction with alcohol, drugs and gambling from 2013 through to 2020 and made an example of how he wanted to change to live a better life. Jack's dedication to ultra events are tied to a mental health charity called Out of The Blue which has raised over $55k in the last 3 months. We go into why Tom Mitchell was born to play AFL and where he gets his unwavering work ethic and focus from. The recruitment war that took place in 2011 for the draft pick of Mitchell is a story that has not been shared like this before and I found absolutely mind blowing. We also break down why Alistair Clarkson got the best footy out of Mitchell which led to the 2nd place in the Brownlow in 2017 and the 2018 Brownlow win. This was an incredible episode about one of the great footy players in the comp for the last 10 years. So many nuggets to take from this I hope you enjoy :)
