In 2019, a singer-songwriter from Wollongong released an EP called Persevere. It was a collection of urgent, emotional, and endlessly memorable tracks, and it clearly connected with fans, because the EP was certified Gold in Australia.
It was a prophetic start for Tyne-James Organ, who went on to release an excellent debut album called Necessary Evil in 2021, propelled by the immensely popular single Sunday Suit.
Now, Tyne-James has returned with second album The Other Side, an album that is both gut-wrenching and life-affirming, just like life itself really? There are many twists and turns on the record, which is another excellent collection of songs from the now Sydney-based artist.
He’s just about to head out on tour, and we welcomed Tyne-James Organ to The Tuckshop Takeaway.
