A radical departure from Kevin Parker’s earlier indie psych rock records, Currents would become one of the most influential and impactful albums of the decade - and Parker would gain A-list fans like Rihanna, Dua Lipa, and Lady Gaga.

It’s an album worthy of unpacking and unravelling many times over, and that’s exactly what music journalist Al Newstead has done in his new book on Currents, which is a new entry in the beloved 33 ⅓ series.
