The Sydney band have recently released their second album Quiet Quitter, and they’re about to launch it at one of our favourite inner west venues, The Vic on the Park. I caught up with Len Lennox's Ben and Dave to dive into how it all came together, strange Waterloo shacks and questionable neighbours included….

A radical departure from Kevin Parker’s earlier indie psych rock records, Currents would become one of the most influential and impactful albums of the decade - and Parker would gain A-list fans like Rihanna, Dua Lipa, and Lady Gaga.

It’s an album worthy of unpacking and unravelling many times over, and that’s exactly what music journalist Al Newstead has done in his new book on Currents, which is a new entry in the beloved 33 ⅓ series.

We chat to Newstead about how it all came together in this wide-ranging interview. Enjoy.
