Are Republicans heading for a midterm election disaster, or are the polls getting it wrong again? Lisa Boothe sits down with RealClearPolitics co-founder and president Tom Bevan for an eye-opening breakdown of the 2026 midterm elections, the battle for control of Congress, and the Senate races that could determine the balance of power in Washington.

Bevan explains why Republicans face an uphill battle to hold the House, why Senate control could come down to Alaska, and how critical races in Texas, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, and North Carolina could reshape the political landscape. They also examine Donald Trump's impact on political polling, Republican voter enthusiasm, potential polling bias, and why traditional election models may no longer tell the whole story.

With Democrats hoping for a blue wave and Republicans fighting to avoid major losses, Bevan reveals the early election night indicators he'll be watching and explains why the results could surprise both parties.

Will Republicans defy the polls and hold the Senate, or is a Democratic takeover on the horizon?
