Christmas feels close, but for trades businesses it's not holiday season, it's the season that decides the next six months. Get the lead-up wrong and the cost isn't a quiet January, it's a lost quarter of recovery.

Three levers separate a strong finish from a brutal restart: pipeline, cash, and resources. Selling into Q1 while everyone else focuses only on finishing Q4 jobs. Turning probable work into secured contracts before customers vanish for the break. Chasing invoices and payments before doors close, not after. And locking in people and materials so January starts with momentum instead of scrambling.

Nail this window and the new year opens with work booked, cash in hand, and crews ready. Miss it, and you're not starting fresh, you're digging out.

In this episode you’ll learn:

🔨 Sell into January now, even while Q4 is already fully booked.
🔨 Move work from probable to secured with signed contracts and deposits.
🔨 Invoice early, since payments stall badly once Christmas holidays actually begin.
🔨 Getting jobs fully finished matters more than starting many at once.
🔨 Lock in staff leave dates and supplier lead times before shutdown.
🔨 Poor Q4 planning can cost a business its first quarter's profit.
