For all of recorded history, humans have been fascinated with mountains.  A running theme is that gods live at the top, because until very recently it was virtually impossible for a human to get there without dying.  Who else could survive in such a place?  Aside from goats, of course.  The answer is Jeff Belanger.  He might have required a little help getting there.  It still counts.  The epiphany still came.  And he still wrote a book.
