A new crime report shows that Austin has seen the nation's highest increase in homicides over the last 7 years, The Austin City Council has approved the Dog's Head tax increment reinvestment zone (TIRZ) despite strong pushback and a deal that would allow Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords, under the condition that they recognize Israel, is in the works.

The Austin city council is being blasted for its latest budget proposal, which critics say will continue to make the city unaffordable after an analysis of the $6.6-billion-dollar proposal shows that it will cost the average capitol-area homeowner about $350 more per year, the Austin school district has called off a planned partnership with a nonprofit that was going to take over three middle schools next year as they were hoping to partner with the Texas Council for International Studies in an effort to prevent a state takeover of the entire district, but the Texas education agency rejected that plan, the rainbow crosswalk at 4th street and Colorado in downtown Austin is no more, after governor Abbott and TXDOT ordered the removal of rainbow crosswalks, and other political signage as well from all Texas cities and yesterday some people gathered for a sort of vigil to mourn its loss, and governor Abbott has issued an executive order designed to crack down on unlawful "birth tourism" schemes.

Iran launched new attacks targeting U.S. allies after three American troops were killed in the escalating conflict, as the U.S. continued strikes on Iranian military targets, a suspect accused of setting an incendiary fire outside a New York City federal building was taken into custody after authorities said he carried anti-ice materials, allegedly used fireworks and a flammable liquid to start the fire, and caused two minor injuries, Treasury Sec. Scott Bessent has just found $100 million in fraudulent payments that would've otherwise gone to deceased people and Bessent says there might be $500 billion in total fraud, and If the Biden admin were still in power, the $100M would've been paid and lost.
