Alphabet Inc.'s shares fell more than 13% after the company reported disappointing search and advertising sales. The Google parent reported sales of $111.2 billion for the third quarter, falling short of analysts' projections, with ad sales from search and other channels growing at the slowest pace in five quarters. The company's future commitments to buy resources such as computing power and energy totaled $924 billion, with upcoming obligations bringing the company's total future obligations to well over $1 trillion. The company reported adjusted earnings of $7.20 a share and revenue of $20.68 billion, and told investors that overall revenue growth in the fourth quarter will be “moderate” versus the year-earlier period.

According to BI: Gen Z dating behavior is moving closer to millennials as more younger users actively date, views of dating apps improve and paid-app use increases, according to BI's second dating-app survey. Trian's bid values Wendy's at just 15.3x consensus 2026 EPS. The company is raising sales guidance as its customer backlog expanded to $197 billion, and now expects full-year revenue of $46.5 billion to $47.5 billion.

The company's payments volume increased 9% to $4.08 trillion, up from $3.73 trillion during the period last year.
