-Matthew Bloxham, Bloomberg Intelligence Senior and Tech Analyst, joins to discuss how AI tensions between Anthropic and the administration were reignited by a essay posted by the company's Chief Executive Officer Dario Amodei, who called for government regulation and urged pacing development of the most advanced AI systems. President Donald Trump dismissed fears about AI risks as "a hoax" and rejected the idea of new rules, while leading AI developers have begun discussing AI safety concerns among themselves.
Separately, OpenAI is holding early talks with investors about a fresh funding round that would value the company at more than $1.2 trillion ahead of an initial public offering.

According to Bloomberg Intelligence: AI spending is rising faster than corporate executives can track its impact, with only 9% saying they can confidently measure financial returns even as 92% see costs going up next year.
