Last week Friday on the eve of the G20 summit, President Cyril urged African leaders to unite and speak with one voice to improve sustainable development on the continent. He was speaking at a reception dinner hosted for African Heads of State where he went on to say that they need to use the G20 to advance the continent’s collective agenda.

What will it take for Africa to speak with one voice?  

In an effort to prevent water shortage in the country, especially now that we are in the summer season where demand is likely to be high,theWater Research Commission has launched a nation-wide campaign they call “A WaterWise Nation”. It is aimed at changing how South Africans think about and value water. Dr Jennifer Molwantwa who is CEO of the Commission says that we are not just running out of water, but we are running out of time to change how we use it. She goes on to say that every litre we waste this summer, is a litre our children may not have  tomorrow.
