Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni says that he was asked by "millions of Ugandans" to stand again for presidency in 2026. He goes on to say that he couldn't betray them because they are ordering not to leave. He was speaking shortly after securing the ruling NRM party nomination as their presidential candidate. Museveni is not the only leader on the continent who somehow manages to stay in power for decades.
