As we begin to wrap the year, we reflect on the state of the public service. In 2025, we have seen multiple legal processes investigating failures within public entities. We have seen proceedings investigating the fitness of office for public officials. This is where we have heard testimonies reflecting the abuse of power, intimidation of junior officials, sexual harrassment/violence claims without any interventions made to protect victims and the decision-making of public servants.
In this hour, we wanted to unpack what role an organization such as the Public Service Cpmmission has when it comes to organizational culture of the public service, how we overcome the challenges being highlighted through these legal processes and how accountability will be reflected beyond the reports that will be submitted in 2026.
