The ongoing embargo on Cuba: Cuba is experiencing a severe economic and energy crisis with widespread nationwide blackouts and critical shortages of fuel, food, and medicine. The situation has been intensified by strict U.S. sanctions, an oil blockade, and the loss of fuel shipments from Venezuela.
