Robërt Kigongo is a peace negotiator and a sustainable development analyst based in Uganda. He has written a piece in the Mail and Guardian about how sports is a good tool in solving the problem of hate and racism in the world. Interestingly, he points to the 1995 Rugby World Cup that saw former President Nelson Mandela and the former SA Rugby team captain Francois Pienaar lift the trophy together. This marks 30 years since that event took place in 1995 just a year after the country's first democratic elections.
