In the last three years, the Political Party Funding Act has been delivered 9 quarterly reports disclosing the donations and funding activities of political parties in the country. The report is also meant to provide transparent outlook on the disbursement of public money to these parties through the seats they hold at provincial and national Legislature.

The report has provided insights on who are the major stakeholders when it comes to the donors who have given over R100 000 to these associations. So far 8 major donors have been consistently donating across the political landscape. In most recent report, there have been questions raise surrounding one of a donor making a hefty donation behind a single political party and whether their affiliation to a popular financial institution doesn't blur the lines for consumers who do not affiliate themselves with the political party who received that donation. There are also new donors emerging who are back new opposition parties vying for seats in power in the upcoming election.
