Focus: The heart is one of the most important organs in the body, pumping over 90 000 beats in a day. In South Africa, one in five people die from heart disease. That is only second to HIV/AIDS. According to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 80% of these deaths are preventable and the high death rate can be attributed to our lifestyle habits.
