The flood disaster in the Eastern Cape has seen many charities and NGOs come together to assist with the humanitarian crisis that unfolded. The death toll is said to be sitting at 102 after another body was recovered earlier this week. The disaster has been declared a national disaster. So for today’s Citizen’s Corner we speak to those individuals who’ve contributed in helping some of the victims. Many have spent their own funds to buy blankets, cook food, use their own cars to assist those in need and even accommodate others.
