The National Planning Commission has unveiled a report which calls for coordination from key government departments to prioritize early childhood development as a cornerstone to the country's progress. This includes addressing malnutrition, accessing social protection, early learning programmes and maternal health services in the first one thousand days. The report looks into the importance of human development for children under six years, not only when it comes to educational development but also as it relates to nutrition, health and social outcomes. To help us unpack this report further on the strategic stakeholders involved and how we build a social compact for inprovement in this essential sector.
