She will this week be hosting a colloquium with economists, professors and other stakeholders to come up with ideas that will improve the economic state of the province. Auditor General Tsakani Maluleke had painted a very bleak picture of the financial state of the municipalities in the province. During her budget speech, MEC Brown said that in terms of dealing with corruption, she and her department will facilitate the roll-out of an anti-corruption strategy and lifestyle audit in partnership with the office of Premier Sisi Ntombela.
