Yesterday, a four-story building collapsed in central business district of George. Disaster management teams have been working around the clock to rescue construction workers trapped under the rubble. In a media statement released this morning, George Municipality confirmed that a total of five (5) patients have been declared deceased. Twenty-six (26) patients have been removed from the rubble of the collapsed multi-story construction site at 75 Victoria Street, leaving forty-nine (49) persons unaccounted for.
