Many children have been left orphaned during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the recent few months, social media is filled with messages asking people to adopt such orphans.

Lack of awareness and rampant misinformation around procedures involving legal adoption is putting many children at risk of trafficking and illegal adoptions.
