Federal Labor Makes $4Bn Infrastructure Power Play on Eve Of Election 17/05/2022

View descriptionShare

Federal Labor has made a $4bn infrastructure power play on the eve of the election, saying it could commit the cash to a range of projects.

The Labor chairwoman of a parliamentary inquiry probing Victoria’s anti-corruption agencies has been accused of running a protection racket for the government after blocking questioning over the infamous red shirts election rort.

Victorian projects will continue to experience even bigger blowouts as a severe shortage looms for sand, rock and workers needed for construction.

Creating “floating wetlands” on the Yarra River and transforming a key riverside park will kick start early works for the City of Melbourne’s ambitious $300m Greenline project.
