Clinton Maynard, host of Money News, breaks down the actual transaction costs for merchants and where the tax office fits into the puzzle. Then, Wes Lambert, Chief Executive of the Australian Restaurant and Cafe Association, explains why absorbing merchant fees became the final straw for struggling hospitality venues already battling surging overheads.
