William Cooper championed the rights of Indigenous people his entire life???.but he also fought for the rights of people outside of Australia as well.  Most notably, in the 1930’s???.he organized a march to protest the treatment of Jews at the start of the Holocaust.

Author Barbara Miller is married to Norman, an Aboriginal Australian???.and says that when they married, her mother refused to come to the wedding.  She says that even though her husband was initially very hurt by this, he eventually made it his goal to bring reconciliation to the relationship.  
We’ll hear how reconciliation has become a major theme in Barbara and Norman’s lives???. Next time.
