Your testimony doesn’t have to be dramatic to be powerful.
Sometimes Christians hesitate to share their faith because they think they don’t know enough theology, can’t answer every apologetics question, or simply don’t have an exciting conversion story. But one of the most effective things you can do is much simpler: tell people what Jesus has done in your life.
In this episode of The Steve Marston Show, Steve talks about why every believer’s story matters and how God can use an ordinary testimony to point someone toward Jesus. We also hear the example of Iowa quarterback Hank Brown explaining the faith behind his Acts 20:24 tattoo and his desire to make the good news of God’s grace his life’s purpose.
Then Tyler Marston from 1189 joins Steve to unpack Acts 26, where the Apostle Paul stands before King Agrippa and does something remarkably simple: he tells his story. Paul explains who he was, how he encountered Jesus, and why that encounter changed everything. It’s a powerful reminder that when someone asks why you believe, they may not be looking for a philosophical argument—they may simply want to know what Jesus has done for you.

Your Next Step: Take some time to think through your own testimony. You don’t need a sermon. You don’t need a theology degree. Be ready to tell someone, conversationally and honestly, what Jesus has done in your life.
The Steve Marston Show is a daily Christian radio show and podcast helping you live more like Jesus through biblical teaching, Christian discipleship, faith and culture conversations, interviews, encouragement, and a little fun along the way.
