I just came out the gym. I'm a little out of sorts right now. But it's okay. I'll pull it together. But let me tell you something, man, I got a clear cut message for you today. I really do you know, um, as I've gotten older, I've begin to take some supplements. And supplements are to help your body and things that it doesn't produce as much as it used to. You know, do you gotta take a vitamin supplement? This mineral supplements because just you know, vitamin D supplement because vitamin D is important and you know, as you get older sometimes your body doesn't produce it at the rate that it used to, and so you take supplements. You know, you've got herbs that can help you out with digesting ginger. You know, things like that, you got It's it's a lot of things out there. Once you start talking to people that's in and know what health food stores and things of that nature. And if you're going in there and you know you're having trouble with this, or you you're feeling like you're not your eyesight ain't quite what are you trying to get your hair and your nails together and they tell you to try buy it in or something like that, or or your joints is feeling a little achy and they recommend grew closer, mean and congratgen and you know, stuff like supplements. And I'll take supplements all the time. Supplements are designed to help you replenish what's been depleted in your body. As supplements. Now, now people I can tell you can speak a lot more aggressively and a lot more knowledgeable on this subject. But just giving you a just a brief overview of Minderstanding up now, if you've been living your life for a while, supplements are necessary for most of us now. Also, if you've been living your life for a while spiritually, you may need some supplements because you've just been at it for a while. You didn't got woll down a little bit, You're tied some people around you ain't changing some people around your draining. It's just life just keeps on coming. Life don't ever get no easier. It's just you become more knowledgeable about how to handle it. It does not get any either easier. You continue to lose loved ones, you continue to have to confront the challenges. It's just that over course of time you become experienced and you can handle them better. But life don't get no easier. But spiritually you get a little bit worn down. Well, you need some spiritual supplements too. And I'm just gonna flat out tell you, the more God that you can replenish yourself with, the higher the dosage of God that you are willing to put into your spiritual self, the possibilities then become limitless. You actually have the ability to make a conscious decision to supplement your body and you have a conscious decision to supplement your spirit. You can do both. So what I did was, I could just tell you what I did. I was taking all these supplements. I started taking supplements when I was about forty five. I think that's when I begin I I was thinking about one day and I just went wild. Man. I started talking to some knowledgeable people. I found out I needed these things. But then spiritually, man, I started supplementing myself too. I started praying some more. I started trying to gain a little bit more knowledge and wisdom and understanding from scriptures and just try to make makes sense of all of it, you know, just just make a little bit more sense out of my life, make sure that I was on the right path. A matter of fact, get on the right path, find out my real purpose and my mission in life. And nobody can do that for you. That's something that you have to want to do. But I started supplementing my spiritual side of my life and supplementing my Now I happened to be right now about in the best shape I've ever been in. Technically, I can assure you though I am in the best shape spiritually I have ever been in. Now my body has looked better. It really has. I mean, come on now, at who I am in life, at the stage with the years I've been walking this earth. Man, I'm cool, but spiritually I'm in the best shape I've ever been in. And what has done for me, y'all is it gave me a piece and a calmness. You know it used to be, man, I used to fight so hard against people who attack. Now, man, it ain't. It ain't that serious to me because now I have a full understanding that if I come under attack, that God is with me, because that's a promise he made. That's Isaiah fifty four seventeen. That's that's the that's Any weapon formed against you, any up informed against you shall not prosper. You can't. You can't come and get me. It's isn't. I'm not here for you to take down because you didn't put me here. So why would I feel a person bringing me down when they're not the reason that I'm here. So when you attack me, you have to be careful because I ain't ever by myself. I formed a relationship with the most High that I can rely on for protection, for coverage, and for peace. A lot of times when things used to stress me out, how to run this, how to handle this, how to deal with that? You know, famous rough Man. And then you put that together with some business, and you put that together with your family. You've got a lot of stuff you're trying to tend to. I have a piece of mind about it now because I have someone who provides me with a sense of understanding and calmness that lets me know that this tool shall has that. It ain't just a saying that I heard old people say that. It ain't just something my mama used to tell me. It's something that can really happen. Once you get an understanding, this tools you your pass. This is just another piece of life that you are now better equipped to handle. I'm telling you what it's done for me. Are millions of people out there hear me? Man has done the same thing for them. I'm I'm I'm telling it new to some people, but there's some people that show enough understand what I'm saying. And then if you if you have known this but kind of forgot it, it's time for some supplements. So when you get like that, and and now you find yourself in a situation with a disease or something. You gotta do something. Nah, you gotta start juicing all your greens. You gotta start detoxing your body. You gotta start purifying the system. See, the human body has always had a way to repair itself if you just give it a chance. Your mine has always had a chance to repair itself if you give it a chance. And your spirit always has a chance to repair itself, if you give it a chance. It's the only way I can maintain at this level, and it's the only way I have any chance of going further. I have to increase my dosage of spiritual supplements. I gotta talk to God a little bit more. I got to pray a little bit more. I got to understand his word a little bit more. That's all I'm telling you. Man, If you do that, if you just pray more, if you just studied a little bit more, Man, just try to get an understand and ask him to help you understand. I had great right. This is Dreams and Nightmares to Meet Meals story. It airs this Sunday, everybody at seven pm Eastern, and uh, Meek wants us to know some things are going on. So that's to what can you tell us? Man? Well, I mean, you know, I spoke to Meek on the telephone. He was in prison, but we didn't know if and when he get out on nail and then our cameras were down, you know, shooting for this this program, and we got worried he was about to be released. So my producer rushed down to the prison, got him coming out. We were on the helicopter with them, remember he wrote they rode on a helicopter to the seventies six Ers games that were on there. We're in the car with him, he's space times with Kevin Hart, you know, and and all this family. When it was it was a magical moment. And of course he gets the game and he rings the ceremony about and then we spoke to him the next morning because we talked about all the issues his case is raised. I mean, here's gout when he's served with six or seven months for the original crime, but he was on the hook in this parole system eight years that kept snapping him back. And he's kind of become a symbol for what many people see, as you know, is a wrong and the way we handle for role in this country. And he recognizes a lot of guys he left behind in prison who are going to the same thing, and he knows this is the moment that he is a symbol that has has brought attention to this. So he really he really reflects on that. We had a really good conversation. Wow, what was your takeaway of him as just just as a man. Well, he's matured now. He was eighteen years old when he got busted, and you know, he's he's grown a lot. And of course now at the time he got out of prison. Originally, you know, his career started to take off, and then this you know, probation system keeps snapping him back for you know, what his lawyers say were technical violations. Now he had had popped to wheelie in New York, he got into an altercation in the airport in St. Louis. But it was a charge in any of those cases. But those were part of the justification, you know, for putting him you know, back in prison for shoo to four years. So and then the new part of the story is that there are questions now about his original conviction. That turns out that he was convicted based on the testimony of one police officer. Come to find out that police officer was on a list that the d A had of police officers that you do not call to testify because they're not trustworthy. Um, so the whole case is kind of snapping back down. Wow, that's good. More with Steve's conversation with Lester Holt about his upcoming exclusive interview with Meek mill in about ten minutes at thirty four. So let's do you know this is really crazy because well, regrettably, I have a lot of rince who were, excuse me, involved in the probation system. I've been on probation myself. I know, identified you no, no, But this is important because because for all, I mean, probation is a good thing. Because if the idea is to lift people out of you know, whatever trouble they got into and give them a path back into society, and what and what you meet and his lawyers argue is like, look, you know, here's a guy who had a good job. You know, he was rapid, he was making money, and he's there argues that the system should help him a guy like that, and yet it kept snapping back and putting him back in jail. And now imagine, you know, if you're not meet mil and you don't have a big career and you're trying to get a job and you know, trying to feed your family. So that's that's really the crux of the issue. I mean, a lot of people have been in this system. Yeah, because you don't have to be charged with a crime to violate probation. Violating probation is standing in the company of another person that's been convicted. Just so many things they can violate you on if you're standing on a corner with a guy, contact with police, and in Meeks case, his probation had a lot of requirements about reporting that if you're going to go to another city or another state, you have to file a report about your whereabouts. You know, he was a rapper, he was on tour, he says. You know, sometimes they got it wrong. You know, things shifted. He ended up here, not there um. But those as you put up, things like that are violations and they are technical violations. But the bottom line in meek story, he was never convicted of another crime. Uh you know, because it goes back to when he was eighteen, you got in trouble. But since then he's never been convicted. To see, if Steve, you're right, any any contact with the criminal justice system, you can get a snap right back into prison. That's that's really crazy. And now he's being more like a spokesperson, I hate to say, poster child because but this is horrible. But he's a spokesperson for a lot of people. He said that he left back in prison. So until you before all this was happening, what were you doing. Weren't no talking dirty? You ain't never go to bed naked. What was your hair looking like? Hurt my heart? Uh. The man who allegedly tried to extort Kevin Hart over a sex tape has been arrested, guys, reports page six. This is all according to page six. Yes, his name is Jonathan Todd Jackson. He was charged with two felony counts of extortion for trying to extort an undisclosed amount of money from Kevin between August and August thirty of last year. This is according to a press release from the Los Angeles County d A's office. Jackson allegedly had a videotape of Kevin Hart with a woman in Las Vegas and then is accused of trying to sell the recording to numerous celebrity news websites. This is according to prosecutors. Now, Jackson was a close friend of Kevin's for like about fifteen years. They're saying, um, so Kevin tweeted, he was mind blown, he was hurt, he was at a loss for words and simply incomplete disbelief at the moment. Uh wow. And and by the way, Jackson could face up to four years in jail if convicted. Yes, Tommy, and now he was all right, we gotta move on to Yeah, that's crazy in the middle of it right now, it's like this, But I said this though. Yes, this is your inner circle. That's why you constantly have to take inventory of people around you. I've had I've had this happened to me, man on numerous occasions. People that you thought loved you, that you trusted, but they see a way to get some mode and here they come. It has happened. I don't know if a celebrity that has not happened to but this that this dude did was viold. First of all, how you how you get that set up? See? Because neither Kevin nor the woman knew of any video the woman. The woman really didn't know, he said a victim. Yeah, this dude man so foul. And I feel for Kevin because his heartbreak is real because you go, damn dog my dude. And now Kevin got to go through everything he's ever done for this dude. And please know he hadn't done a lot. But it ain't ever unknown. Man, when you're dealing with a hater, I don't care what you do. It ain't never enough. But everybody, you all have that someone in your life. Everybody's got that somebody in their life that no matter what you do for them, it ain't enough. And tell me you ain't got that person or you ain't had him before. You can't help him enough. Man, they won't show life. Don that ain't gonna do what you do and it ain't put the time into be who you are. But they won't show life. That's messed up. Man. Yeah, that's wow, your dog he did it first of all, nothing because Kevin. Kevin is my dude. So I don't like talking about because you know, look look him and his wife. They you know, they got to go through the healing process and I'm all for him. But but but the only way this happens is somebody got to know that it's about to happen. I gotta have access to your room and pre set everything up. That's the only way that ain't no, maide made don't know what you're about to do. Who you went, maids don't know that, so you can take maids off to this. I told him, I said this, this dude, you know him. This is somebody I'm telling you and showing up here it comes it's him. Yeah. That that's that's really heartbreaking. It is, alright. So switching gear is another uh hot story right now. Camille Cosby, Bill Cosby's wife has finally spoken out publicly uh since her husband has been found guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constant in a Philadelphia suburb back in two thousand four. Uh Camille Cosby called it mob justice. She's been married to Bill Cosby since nineteen sixty four. She has gone after the Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steel, the media, and Cosby's accusers in a statement that alludes to racial injustice. Okay, the overall media, Camille Cosby said, with their frenzied, relentless demonization of him and unquestioning acceptance of accusers allegations without any attendant proof, have su superseded the Fifth and fourteenth Amendments, which guarantee due process and equal protection, and thereby eliminated the possibility of a fair trial and unbiased jury. Bill Cosby was labeled as guilty before the media and accusers said so. She said, she accused the District Attorney's office of an unethical campaign to destroy her husband, and has called for a criminal anal investigation of that district attorney and his cohort. Do you know she may have a valid point because Janice Dickinson came out and said she lied between the book and her testament. That's really really crazy right there. Well, hopefully Bill Cosby has a right to make a stake. Absolutely, she absolutely does, and she has a right to feel how she wants to feel about something. Look, something happened because from to my understanding, some things were allowed in this re retrial that wasn't allowed the first time, and that could have been the difference. That means I'm doing something right. So thank you for being generous. Let me tell you what it was. The crew here was so captivated with some of the things you were telling them. They're all into it. Now. You know you've gotten like four brand new clients out of this deal too, because they all are gonna come see you. But in this book, let's talk about this Clarity Cleins. Surely has some questions about it. Well, you outline a ninety day process to establish clarity in the mind, body and spirit. And that's exactly what I've taken as a part of the Steve Harvey Health and Wellness segment. I always I want to talk about the mind, the body, and the spirit, but there's twil steps to the process. Tell us a little bit more about that. How How how does the person get started in the twil Stepe process? You know, I miss Mrs Strawberry and I when I came in, they mentioned a particular person and I said, oh yeah, I was walking by and I saw the TV and some of the things that you know that they were talking about, and I could feel myself getting angry and opinionated, you know, And look, the book is about um how I was able to walk away with them having a terminal illness and you know, believe it or not, I'm just really happy that you guys are all healthy. But look, people are sick out there. I mean, you look at the rate of obesity, you look at the rate of diabetes, cancer. Look, when in three women are getting hypertension, um, when in three women are getting are getting cancer, whenning two men are getting cancer. So a way to give back was really to to um to write this book. And what really saved my life, Um wasn't really all that which I learned in medical school. It wasn't, to be very frank, some of what I learned in medical school can can easily kill me, right, and and there are a lot of dead doctors out there, so what really, well, they're telling you, Look, our profession has one of the highest rate of divorce. Um, you know that when you look at the doctor's children, they're some of the most arrogant, you know, delinquent children that you know, the highest one of the highest rate of drug abuse. Okay, why why is that? Why is it? How could you be a healer and and have all that? Right, I'll tell you what saved my life was my auntie. I think I was about maybe ten and a half eleven, and my auntie lived in a little village and she had chickens. And I remember one day I realized that my auntie was like getting pepper and rubbing pepper underneath the belly of chickens. Well, confused at that really young age, I'm like, well, what is my auntie doing, you know, peppering up the chicken? Initially I thought, you know, they were gonna kill you know, chicken, and we're gonna have chicken for dinner. Yeah, that's not what she was doing. I kept asking, and she kept smiling, and eventually, you know, she said, I'm peppering up the chicken because you know, when I rubbed pepper underneath their belly, it makes them horny, and they will allow the rooster to have sex with them so that the eggs that they lay will be for lies, so we can get more chicks. Let me tell you something. That piece of information saved my life because because when they gave me the diagnosis, I published my entire medical records from City of Hope in this book. Look, they gave me thirty percent chance of survival. Literally, it's in there they say seventy chance of micrometastasis, which is really a cuss word. It means you're screwed. Look, let me tell you something. What out of here. It's what saved me. Was at that moment when the doctor looked me and he said, listen, here's what's happening. I realized what my auntie had taught me. I didn't want anybody to pepper me up. I didn't lose control. I said, wait a minute, God, gave me life, and I I need to go back, and I need to center myself and I need to choose from that place of being and that's what really saved my life. So right now, what is that book about? You know, God bless her. She's so sweet. She said, listen, just be more specific, because I know you're naive a this, but they're in radio. They can't see you. Look, the book is about not getting peppered up. The book and how how do we how do we human beings are getting peppered up. Maybe they're maybe they're not getting a medical diagnosis that says they're screwed. You know, they might still you know, stick a fork and then turn them over. Maybe their addiction is anger. Do you realize how how many times we are peppering ourselves up? We're driving and we're having full conversations inside our head. So okay, so hold so let me kind of put this out there for people. So what you're saying is a person has to get back to the core of who they really are and and look internally, and that you have the capability a lot of times to self heal yourself by reading yourself of emotional toxics. Yeah, absolutely, but you've got to realize if you're being peppered up. I'm talking about what it means to be a fully mature human being, and I'll tell you it's a scarce commodity. What does it mean to come from a place of centeredness? That's what we're talking about. That's what this book is. It's an empty cup off the cover. Listen, ladies and gentlemen, it's an empty cup. If you can come from a place of emptiness into your relationship. It could be your wife, it could be your husband, it could be your son, it could be your boss. So that's why we say people bringing baggage to relationship. Finger. Okay, I'm gonna pour Jamaica Blue Mountain in your cup. But if you already got some ammonia in the cup, you're gonna get poisoned. This is not gonna taste right. No, I'll give you an example, Steve, I got pulled over. This is today. Here's what I did. The minute I got pulled over. I'll lowered my window. I stuck both hands outside. The guy comes around and he says, boy, aren't you paranoid? I looked at the guy that said, you know, officer, I have a lot of compassion for you. Your job is very stressful, and anything I can do to make it easy, it would be my privilege. I swear to God. I could see tears welling up in this man's eyes. He looked at me and he says, you know what, slowed down? I have a great day. Now watch this. If my cup was filled up and I'm sitting I'm going that said, oh look I got there because I'm one Ibro Iranian man and he's that's why he's pulling me over. And did say one eyebrow Iranian man. Look if my cup was pilled filled up and the guy by the time he comes in, I'm just like about to explode. It's like, Wow, that's what we're talking about here. Every morning, you wake up, before you start your dad, get a piece of paper, sit down somewhere where you don't have to be disturbed for twelve minutes, take a survey of your cup. Here's the question. You start writing. You say, what what? What are my thoughts? What are my low hanging fruits of my thoughts? My feelings, my emotions. Look, last night I had I had a disagreement. I had a fight with my beloved. We really did. We were talking for two and a half hours. We went in the car because we didn't want to disturb the kids, but we sat there and we talked. We screamed, we laughed, we cried, we loved, we hugged until we worked it out. That's it. That's what mature human beings do. They don't have Oh yeah, slimb out the world man car moving though not listening, but you do talk about that in your book. The Claire dklans twelve minutes each morning. Sinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican's army victory at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco Mexican War back in eighteen sixty two. All right, Mexico actually declared this independence fifty years earlier, but Americans will celebrate anyway since it's an excuse to uh, you know, to drink up some salted margaritas. Anyone, yeahone, all of that. Yeah, Mexican Americans living in the US agree that Sanco de Mayo has evolved into a huge festival that celebrates Mexican culture and heritage. Heritage. People mark the occasion with elaborate family feast parties, mariachi music, and traditional folk dancing. So happy Sinco de Mayo? Yeah, mao, sin what you got tomorrow to? Now that is just a Mexican holiday, right, not Latino? Uh, it's we do celebrate Mexican culture and heritage, but don't we community? Yeah? Yeah, Now I'm just saying it's Sinco de Mayo. I'm not sure. I don't want to say the wrong thing. I'm asking is it it's a Mexican holiday or is it a Latino holiday? Well, it's Mexican because it commemorates the Mexican Army's victory at the back. Okay, cool, Okay. It gets France when they won't coming over here thinking it's gonna be some easy wind and it punks up in here. What mago? Yeah man, coole man take the ex out, Mako. Okay, all right, Uh, today everybody uh in in the vein of uplift again and aspiration to try to uh get everybody motivated. Uh. I've created a new thing, and I'll tell you about it shortly, but and I'll tell you where you can get it. I'm doing nothing but a huge, huge long motor national series, and I'll tell you about it shortly. What would be It'll be drops of knowledge and wisdom and pearls of wisdom that you can use and carry out throughout the day. Uh. I want to talk to you about failure because people say some very confusing things about failure. People say that they're afraid to fail. I could that's understandable. Uh, people say they don't want to fail. That's understandable. But a lot of people are frozen because of failure. Look, I got nobody wants to fail. I got you afraid to fail. I understand you're saying, man, but if I fail and I don't make it what I'm gonna do, then I got I got all of that that you're saying. But the biggest cause of failure in this country, it's just that it is the fear of failing that causes the most failure in this country. It is that fear of failing. So that's what I want to talk to you about and give you some motivation. Here's what I came up with this morning. I just phrased it this way for the first time. Stop being afraid to fail. If you do something when failure is guaranteed, if you do nothing, I'm gonna say it again, stop being afraid to fail if you do something when failure is guaranteed. If you do nothing, you have got to deal with your fear of failure. You have got to deal with your fears. I read something that Will Smith said the other day. Will Smith said, Uh, the best things in life are on the other side of fear. I thought that was so slick. Man, the best things in life are on the other side of fear. When you're afraid of something, you have to address it. It's really not as daunting as you think, you know. It's like it's like if you hear some heavy breathing behind you, and that heavy breathing you go, oh, man, what is that behind me? But if you never turn around to address the heavy breathing behind you, that breathing gets louder, it gets stronger, and then your mind takes over and all of a sudden, Man, this thing that's breathing behind you, is this out of control monster? Oh my god, god Zilla back here breathing on my neck. Man, if this has got to be the big Foot is behind me breathing on my neck. It could be a puppy up against your ear. If you turn around and address it, it could be just a puppy up against your ear. But because you're letting this go unaddressed, that dirns into and if you don't address it, that turns into and next thing. You know what was really just a puppy in your ear. Because you refuse to turn around and address it, it has become this out of control monster. Stop being afraid to fail if you do something. When failure is guaranteed if you do nothing, it's a guarantee that you will fail if you do nothing. In order to what what helps me lose my fear of failure is that I dream so big. What I want to happen to me in life is so powerful that I simply cannot live without it. And that helps me deal with all of the setbacks, hardships, troubles, trials, tribulations. It helps me face the fear because what I wanted, what I dream about, is so incredible, it would mean so much to so many people if all of my dreams come true. That I'm just I'm just in pursuit of it. Man, My dreams are bigger than all of my fears. My fear of failure can't even began to compare with my dreams, my visions, my hopes for tomorrow. What I hope to accomplish and become, what I hope to leave behind, is my legacy. What I want my children's grandchildren to think of me. All of that is so big in me that it causes me the face and deal with any fear head on. The way to handle fear is through your dreams. And your visions. Make your dreams and visions so big, so incredible, that you have to go get them, because man, it would be so life changing for you. That will give you the motivation to deal with these fears. And if you turn around and face most fears, you'll find out that they ain't what they look like. So one more time, stop being afraid to fail if you do something when failure is guaranteed if you do nothing. Those are my clothes remarks that y'all have a good one him.
