But let me tell you something, man, I got a clear cut message for you today. I really do you know. As I've gotten older, I've began to take some supplements. And supplements are to help your body in things that it doesn't produce as much as it used to. Supplements are designed to help you replenish what's been depleted in your body. As supplements now now are. People can tell you can speak a lot more aggressively and a lot more knowledgeable on this subject. But just giving you a just a brief overview of minderstanding of now, if you've been living your life for a while, supplements are necessary for most of us now. Also, if you've been living your life for a while spiritually, you may need some supplements because you've just been at it for a while. You don't got woe down a little bit. You're tied, some people around you, ain't changing. Some people around you draining. It's just life just keeps on coming. Life don't ever get no easier. It just you become more knowledgeable about how to handle it. Does not get any either easier. You continue to lose loved ones, you continue to have to confront the challenges. It's just that over course of time you become experienced and you can handle them better. But life don't get no easier. But spiritually you get a little bit worn down. Well, you need some spiritual supplements too. And I'm just gonna flat out tell you, the more God that you can replenish yourself with, the higher the dosage of God that you are willing to put into your spiritual self, the possibilities then become limitless. You actually have the ability to make a conscious decision to supplement your body, and you have a conscious decision to supplement your spirit. You can do both. So what I did was, I could just tell you what I did. I was taking all these supplements. I started taking supplements where I was about forty five. I think that's when I began. I was thinking about it one day and I just went, wow, man, I started talking to some knowledgeable people. I found out I needed these things. But then spiritually, man, I started supplementing myself too. I started praying some more. I started trying to gain a little bit more knowledge and wisdom and understanding from scriptures and just try to make sense of all of it, you know, just just make a little bit more sense out of my life, make sure that I was on the right path. A matter of fact, get on the right path, find out my real purpose and my mission in life. And nobody can do that for you. That's something that you have to want to do. But I started supplementing my spiritual side of my life and supplementing my body. Now I happen to be right now about in the best shape I've ever been in Technically, I can assure you though I am in the best shape spiritually I have ever been in. Now my body has looked better, it really has. I mean, come on now, at who I am in life, at the stage with the years I've been walking this earth. Man, I'm cool, But spiritually I'm in the best shape I've ever been in. And what it has done for me, y'all is it's gave me a peace and a calmness. You know, it used to be, man, I used to fight so hard against people who attack. Now, man, it ain't. It ain't as serious to me because now I have a full understanding that if I come under attack, that God is with me, because that's a promise he made. That's Isaiah fifty four seventeen. That's that's that's. Any weapon formed against you, any weapon formed against you shall not prosper. You can't. You can't come and get me. I'm not here for you to take down because you didn't put me here. So why would I feel a person bringing me down when they're not the reason that I'm here. So when you attack me, you have to be careful because I ain't ever by myself, I formed a relationship with the most high that I can rely on for protection, for coverage, and for peace. A lot of times when things used to stress me out, how to run this, how to handle this, how to deal with that? You know, famous rough Man. And then you put that together with some business, and you put that together with your family. You got a lot of stuff you're trying to tend to. I have a peace of mind about it now because I have someone who provides me with the sense of understanding and calmness that lets me know that this tool shall pass. That it ain't just a saying that I heard old people say that. It ain't just something my mama used to tell me. It's something that can really happen. Once you get an understanding, this tool shall pass. This is just another piece of life that you are now better equipped to handle. I'm telling you what it's done for me. A millions of people out there hear me. Man has done the same thing for them. I'm telling it new to some people, but there's some people that show enough understand what I'm saying. And then if you have known this but kind of forgot it, it's time for some supplements. So when you get like that, and now you find yourself in a situation with a disease or something. You gotta do something. Nah, you gotta start juicing all your greens. You gotta start detoxing your body. You gotta start purifying the system. See, the human body has always had a way to repair itself if you just give it a chance. Your mind has always had a chance to repair itself if you give it a chance, and your spirit always has a chance to repair itself, if you give it a chance. It's the only way I can maintain at this level. And it's the only way I have any chance of going further. I have to increase my dosage of spiritual supplements. I got to talk to God a little bit more. I got to pray a little bit more. I got to understand his word a little bit more. That's all I'm telling you. Man, If you do that, if you just pray more, if you just studied a little bit more, Man, just try to get it, understand it, ask him to help you understand. It will open up the possibilities of your life into a realm you never could have imagined. I'm telling you that's real. So coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, Democratic candidate bat To O'Rourke says President Trump's rhetoric has a lot to do with the mass shootings. We'll discuss it. Two mass shootings, I said, two mass shootings with twenty nine people killed, Lasso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio. Just a week after the mass shooting in Gilroy, California. On Saturday, in El Paso, a shooter I walked into a Walmart with an AK forty seven and murdered in cold blood twenty people. It really is, yeah. A fellow El Pasoin and Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke says President Trump is a racist and stokes racism in our country. Take a listen to this. He is a racist, and he stokes racism in this country. And it does not just offend our sensibilities, it fundamentally changes the character of this country and it leads to violence. Wow wow Yeah, that's that's deep. Yeah and heavy for someone to come out that hard on him, I mean about the president. Yeah yeah yeah. Owing you to some Republicans to tell the truth, yeah, if um they please could. But if you, if you you know what the whole hatred, I don't get this whole just run in and just waste people's lives and just taking them just because you feel a certain way that the President said something. Now you just think you're supposed to carry out some type of mission that you are that makes that that's just idiotic to me. Yeah, and these are kids doing this, you know, nineteen twenty one, twenty four. That's way too young to be that violent and to just kill. That's way too young. And it still goes you haven't even lived and you're taking other people's lives, and it goes back to these to these assault rifles. Yeah, seven assault rifles. Man, you're you're able to do so much damage in so many seconds. You can just take that many lives in thirty seconds, you can, you can take that many lives. Yeah. Yeah, Well on Sunday morning, Um, yesterday morning, is shooting shooter in Dayton, Ohio who came equipped. This guy had embodied armor. Yeah, he had embodied armor. He opened fire on a crowd of people outside of a bar. He killed nine people, and these nine people included his sister during the attacks. Uh and yeah, he killed his own sister and injured sixteen others. Yeah, this is it's just not normal these times we're living in right now. Yeah, it's just not normal. I'm not sure. Well, here's the thing. Here's the thing, Um, you know with the home situation in El Paso. You know this shooter who is alive, who was in custody, Um, he lived in the Dallas area and Alan, Texas, and he went to El Paso. He chose El Paso because of what President Trump was talking about with the immigrants in this situation. So this is an attack on immigrants and and and Hispanics and and yes, this this is why he said what he said. And then there were actually Mexicans who live in the country of Mexico who were killed during this attack. And so now the Mexican government is looking into They've gotten into it now because their citizens were killed and they this country did not protect their citizens that were here visiting. So the whole apostle situation, it is, it is, and the president needs to call it what it is. It is terrorism. It is domestic terrorism. Stop setting you know, trying to ignore white nationalism and all that. That's what it is. It's exactly what this this young man did and what the guy in Dane, Ohio. Yeah, that's just and and so you already prepared, You've thought this out. You go in with your body armor to harm and kill people that uh, speaking of the president though, uh, here's statement. The President said hate has no place in our country. Yeah, we'll stop it. You stop it. It's your initial starts at the head and it trickles down. Yeah, because what he does. Go ahead, surely I didn't. I didn't mean to cut you off. Well, no, no, I was just gonna say, you know, these young minds, I mean, I'm we're I told you the age is nineteen twenty one, twenty four. These these guys are young, young, young, young, so you know, they these underdeveloped I won't say underdeveloped minds, but these young minds, you know, listening to all this hatred and this racism and everything. So you know, a lot of times this is what motivates them to get out there and do it. I mean they're young, they're still developing, they're not completely and fully matured. They haven't lived and they listen. Yeah, so they think, yeah, they're doing for their country or whatever. And that's the part that gets me. And go ahead, Carla. It is horrible. Yeah, it was horrible. And what do you say? But every this is not normal. This is a nightmare that we are constantly every single weekend talking about match shootings. Within the last two weeks. And that's where terrorism is. You constantly live in terror. You know, that's something that happen. You don't know where, you don't know where to go. Matt and I went, you know, just went. I had to run to the mall and pick up something. Went to the mall and all of a sudden, I was like, hey, this is not cool. I need to get out of here. Something just came over me. I was like, I'm out, I'm out of here. Just the fact that I was in the mall, you know, thinking, and I was thinking about the the l pass. I was like, no, I'm out, let me go to I didn't think anything was going to happen, but it was just something that came over me that said, I don't want to be in the mall right now. I just don't. We're living in fear, yeah, we don't. You know. Now you have to look at the exits when you go to the mall, to the movies, to church, church, church. Listen, y'all know, y'all go ahead, y'all know. I try to run every morning. So I'm out running this park and this guy, I don't know him, He's waving at me, and I'm looking by I'm looking behind me like he is. He waving at me, and then he runs down the hill. He's screaming. He rolls down the hill and then he lays fat on his face for about ten fifteen seconds, and then he gets up and just starts running and screaming across the park and everybody's looking at him like okay, And I'm now my heart is pumping like okay. Twenty nine people shot dead, dozens injured over the weekend, and two mass shootings, one in Dayton, Ohio, the other in El Passo, Texas and Ohio, with AUTH already say nine people were killed when a twenty four year old white man named Connor Bets opened fire outside a row of popular bars and restaurants. Among the dead, by the way, his own sister, Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley, says she's grateful that Bets was stopped as quickly as he was. I am amazed by the quick response of Dayton police that saved literally hundreds of lives. Today it's the two hundred and fiftieth shooting in America. Six of the nine people killed in Dayton were black. Meanwhile, there wasn't even deadly a shooting outside of Walmart and El Paso, Texas. Twenty people killed, more than two dozen injured, with at least three critically. However, the suspects alive and in custody charged with capital murder. The Justice Departments considering federal hey crime and weapons charges. The district attorney there says he's pursuing the death penalty the twenty one year old white male suspects, said to be the author of a white nationalist anti Hispanic manifesto. Investigates say they're treating the attack is a case of domestic terrorism. President Trump spoke to reporters. I want to extend our condolences to the people of El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio. They're incredible people and they've been through a lot. I just want to also thank the law enforcement in both places the job they've done as incredible. Hate has no place in our country. This has been going on for years, for years and years in our country. We have to get it stop. We have done much more than most administrations, and she's really not talked about very much, but we've done actually a lot, but perhaps more has to be done. Two domestic terrorists, deadly mass shootings in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas. Dayton's mayor said, how is it possible that Dayton is the two hundred and fiftieth mass shooting in the US this year? This year? We're just in August, guys, this year, um, and El Paso was two hundred and four nine, all right, a day before, yeah, right, the day before. Yeah, it really is. It's mind boggling and heart wrenching. This is El Paso. The Elpaso shooting was the deadliest terrorist attack on Hispanics in America. Go figure. Yeah. The President calls for prayers for the victims families, and he said hate has no place in our country. But he didn't call these two mass shootings an active domestic terrorism, and he didn't call for a ban on assault rifles, which is the weapon of choice for most mass shooters. We know for sure one was an AK forty seven. Congress is out, you know, they're out right now, out of session right now, but they need to be called back for a special session on gun legislation. I mean, what do you think should hurrying into? Yeah? Yeah, I am don't know what it's going to take. I don't know how many people have to die for the President and Congress to see that we have to do something. This is enough. I mean, I was watching a man on the news in Dayton, Ohio, and he was talking about how, you know, his cousins were among the victim and he said that now his family member won't be able to come back home. They just went out on a night of the town. And he wanted the President to come to Daton, Ohio. He said, you need to come to date in Ohio. This has to stop. Week after week after week and all you won't even acknowledge what it is. It's it's domestic terrorism. Say it. But they don't want to say that because of you know, white supremacy and white nationalism. But that's what the na Paul I don't think. I don't think they're going to be affected until it's somebody and that's their loved ones. You know, you don't want to say that that's when it affects you. It's like when it's you, right, But if you're the president, you're supposed to care for everybody in this country. Yeah, because they say, you know, during this time, you're the counselor in chief. You know, you're a consoler in chief. You're the consoler in chief. You know, these families want to hear something, these cities want you hear from you. You're you're supposed to be the consoler in chief and lead man. Yes, absolutely, And you wanted the jobs and you want it to be the president, so lead and stop stop dividing this country and know what you're saying is part of this. I mean, you know a lot of people agree with Better Roor and he's from al Pass and that's why you know, as a Democratic national candidate, you know he can work learn. Yeah, yeah, refer to the president's rhetoric and saying, you know this racism, this is part of it. This is part of the problem. I don't know if we have time to Let's make insert that He is a racist, and he stokes racism in this country, and it does not just offend our sensibilities, it fundamentally changes the character of this country and it leads to violence. I don't expect him to fill up closets like me, but I at least want him to keep himself up and get used to buying a few new outfits often. In Dayton, the first responders killed the shooter in thirty seconds, yet nine people lost their lives, including the shooter sister. Now, there was a candlelight vigil last night in downtown Dayton, Ohio. It was to honor the nine victims. Take a listen as a crowd addresses Republican Governor dwine See and that champ needs to carry on throughout this whole country. Yeah, and sometimes that's all you can say. Sometimes something simple as simple as do something. Those words, that's what they were saying. Do something, do something, do something, don't just sit there, you know, do something sometimes, you know. Uh, that's all you need to say. They need to do something. And you're offering thoughts and prayers for the victim families, but no action for the people who have voted you in office. Do something to protect us. Several staffers are looking for jobs because they're saying they don't think the show will make it past it's eleventh season. Even though Wendy is guaranteed to be on TV through next season, everything's up in the air after that. This past season was hard because of Wendy's health, including rehab her fractured shoulder, the Sober Living facility, her husband's infidelity and the big divorce announcement. Remember that she's been through a year this year Wendy has So far, the only one of Wendy staffers to leave is producer Tally Parkinson Jones. She took a new job as co executive producer of Tamarin Hall's upcoming daytime show on ABC. Yeah. Yeah, well, hope Wendy's not going. I hope she's not leaving. We got a good show. Yeah, her show is great. I hope she's not going anywhere. I hope. You know, they just haven't resigned her, and she's maybe holding out for more money for the eleventh season. She got a lot for a twelfth season. Now I think, oh yeah, people yeah, yeah, they love her. Hope she's not leaving. Yeah, we want you to stay, Wendy um In another quickie entertainment news story, just in case you were wondering, today is National Underwear Day. It's also National work like a Dog Day. And Marcia Brady is sixty three years old. Marsh Wow, all right, mar of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Show. How sad these two stories are in America. Two domestic terrorists deadly mass shootings in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas. Dayton's mayor said, how is it possible that Dayton is the two hundred and fiftieth mass shooting in the US this year? This year? We're just in August, guys, this year, and El Paso was two hundred and forty nine, all right, four, yeah, right the day before. Yeah, it really is. It's mind boggling and heart wrenching. This is El Paso. The Olpaso shooting was the deadliest terrorist attack on Hispanics in America. Go figure. Yeah. The President calls for prayers for the victims families, and he said Hayde has no place in our country. But he didn't call these two mass shootings and active domestic terrorism. And he didn't call for a band on assault rifles, which is the weapon of choice for most mass shooters. We know for sure one was an AK forty seven. Congress is out, you know, they're out right now, out of session right now, but they need to be called back for a special session on gun legislation. I mean, what do you think they should be hurrying into yet? I mean, I was watching a man on the news in Dayton, Ohio, and he was talking about how you know, his cousins were among the victim and he said that now his family member won't be able to come back home. They just went out on a night out of the town. And he wanted the president to come to Dayton, Ohio. He said, you need to come to Dayton, Ohio. This has to stop. I don't think they're going to be affected until it's somebody and that's their loved ones, you know, to say you don't want to say that. That's when it affects you, is like when it's you about right. But if you are a president, you're supposed to care for everybody in this country. Yeah, because they say, you know, during this time, you're the counselor in chief. You know you're a consoler in chief. You're the consoler in chief. You know these families want to hear something, these cities want to hear from you. You're you're supposed to be the consoler in chief. Yes, absolutely, and now you wanted the jobs and you want it to be the president. So lead. Wow, So sad thoughts and prayers and again, do something. We need someone to do something, someone that can like our president, like our Congress, come back in session. Someone pass some laws. Let's get it done people. Uh, coming up our last break of the day, and Steve Harvey has left us some closing remarks quite a proposed for what we're going through in this country right now. We'll hear about it at forty nine minutes after the hour, that's right after this you're listening to. All right, here we are our last break of the day, while two mass shootings over the weekend. Uh, really just our country is fairly Yeah, you don't know what to say. Yeah, you just it's just horrible. I mean, you don't know what to do. It's it's whenever you go out now you have to think of you about your surroundings because it can happen anywhere, and you never know when a terrorist attack me. You got to decide if it's smart to even go. Yeah, yeah, you know, it's come to that. Unfortunately it has come to that. All right, So um, Steve, as timely as it is, left us with some closing remarks. Take a listen. You know, we're in a we're in a position where we have to start doing something. We have to be a little bit more proactive instead of weigh no knees tragedies to happen. You know, we gotta put some laws and some policies in place that do I know exactly what that is? No, I know something has to be done. We're too free in this country. We are free to do whatever we want to do to anybody, and then we got the nerve that after we do it, we have rights. That's the alarming thing to me. After you do what you want to do to a group of people, you can mass murder people, and then we have the audacity to turn around and give you rights when those victims did not have a right. No victim has a right. They young people were sitting there trying to enjoy themselves. People go out to Vegas at a concert to enjoy themselves. People go to movies to enjoy themselves. People go to church to enjoy themselves. And then somebody comes in and takes away all of that. Their life, they dreams, their families, hopes. They cause so much misery, and then we turn around and give them same people some rights. That's crazy to me. You don't deserve any rights when you snuff out a person's life. What what what? What right do you do you need I don't understand that. Well, with that being said, let me offer you a bit of inspiration. Let me flip it a little bit and turn this thing around on completely another subject, because I just want to do something to inspire people. Do you know that you can become as successful as you want by simply changing your attitude? If you can change your mindset, if you can just change it, you can change everything about about you. Now, you say to a Steve, you're making it sounds so simple. The way to do it is simple. It's complicated. When you don't see it as simple for you, you then automatically complicated. I was saying the other night to my studio audience. One of the things that enable me to get to where I am and most people that I know who are successful, is that they if incorporated the true essence of what faith is. And let me share that with you. Here's the simplicity of it all. Faith is the belief in things that you cannot see. Faith is the belief in things that you cannot see. Do you know that in order to be a success as full as you can be, you're gonna have to believe in something that you can't see. You have to believe in something that you can't see. That's how you truly get to where God wants you to be. Because faith is a belief in things that you cannot see, and it's hard to get the average person to understand that. Well, Steven, if I don't see it, how can I believe in it? That's what faith is. Faith is asking God for something, not knowing how that is going to happen, but believing that it will. Example, God, I want to buy a home. I want to buy my family a home. Well, guess what. You may not have the credit, you may not have the down payment, or you may not even have a job that substantiates a mortgage payment. But that ain't what you did though. You ask God for something, and you ask him for something that you don't see how you can do. But if you just get out of God's way and just do what He asked you to do, faith is a belief in things that you cannot see. How He not gonna give you a home? You think God don't have enough sense to know that you don't have the down payment. You think that God is so out of touch that he don't know your credit is messed up. You think God don't know that you don't have a job that seems adequate enough. You don't think God can give you the old simple things right there, it's just three things, some credit, a job, and a savings. But I dare you to try it. This is the same God that made heaven and earth in six days. How he can't give you them three little things. He made all this in six days, but he can't give you them three things. You gotta up your faith. You have got to up your faith. If you up your faith, you began the transformation that you've always wanted. It's not a secret. It's been there for the taking the whole time. You've always heard that a man is as he's thinking. You've always heard faith with our works is dead. And you've always heard that faith is a belief in things that you cannot see. Those are very simple things, but if you apply them, you can begin to change the trajectory of your life immediately. That's how I got here, That's how you can get wherever you want to be, And that's how I'm gonna go further. Those are my closing remarks.
