I thought did he was in trouble already, But damn, with some of the stuff I'm hearing, he might be in even more trouble than any of us ever thought. That's just one topic. The other is the NFL. The other is some boxing. The other is some stuff involving a man running for a governor's seat calling himself a black Nazi, allegedly, allegedly, that and much more coming up right here on the Stephen A. Smith Show. Holl at you boy, what's up? Everybody? Welcome to the ladies edition of the Steveh Nate Smith Show. Coming at you as I love to do it the very least three days a week over the digital airways of YouTube, and of course iHeartRadio. As always, I like to take a moment to thank my subscribers and followers, particularly on YouTube. Now eclipsed more than eight hundred and four one thousand. I keep climbing, I keep soaring. It happens because of my team, and it happens for my team because of y'all. So thank y'all for the love and support. Obviously, we've nearly eclipsed over three million downloads over the last few months or so. Can't thank y'all enough for the love and support. Keep it coming, and I'm gonna keep on coming. As you well know, it is always football Sunday to get into and I'm definitely going to get into that with my man Chris Carter, because I got some things that's on my mind that I disagree with him about it. I'm tired of what he has to say, so I got to deal with him. I'll deal with that a little bit later on in the show, of course, a couple of the other things that I mentioned teasing the show, But before I get into any of that, I got to get started with the latest on Sean Diddy Combs, the music mogul currently sitting in a federal jail in Brooklyn, New York, indicted on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. TMZ recently released video of Diddy's arrest at the Park Hired Hotel in Midtown Manhattan last week. Authorities him in the lobby and eventually walked them out of the hotel into federal custody. This could have been his last hour of freedom, as he was denied bail not once but twice last week when he appeared before federal judges. Meanwhile, R and B singer al be Sure has taken an Instagram in a series of posts today calling for a number of things, among them a deeper investigation into the death of his former partner kim Porter. Kim Porter, you may remember, passed away in twenty eighteen and is the mother of four kids, one she had with al be Sure, the other three she had with Diddy. The Instagram posts also showed images of the R and B singer and our long and frankly highly incendiary. Al be Sure goes on to accuse publicist, law enforcement, and other agencies of covering up critical details of kim Porter's tragic death. Meanwhile, sug Knight remember him, Death Row RECs remember him? He decided to share some advice with Diddy on his show. Yes he does have a show from prison. It's called Collect Call with sul Knight. Here's what he had to say. Look at these quotes. Quote. I'll tell you what, Puffy, Your life is in danger because you know the secrets of who's involved in that little secret room you guys are participating in. You know they're gonna get you if they can. Puffy, I'm gonna give you some real advice. Two quick things. You gotta make a decision when you go to prison. Either you're gonna be standing up pissing or squatting sitting down pissing. I advise you to try to take the first one, because if you squatting' and pisson, you know what that means. Do not do your time going by brother love. Brother love is not a good code name. End quote. Dan, I ain't gonna lie to y'all. That was uncomfortable to read, wasn't me? Ladies and gentlemen, I'll just read the quotes it's uncomfortable to read because it definitely stirs your imagination and gets you thinking about the wrong things. Here's what we have to think about. As I've said on several occasions, p didties in the world of trouble. Ladies, gentlemen, do you understand what racketeering is? Do you understand what racketeering is? I mean, because if you don't, I think you need to do. I need to put it up on the screen for you to paint. The definition of what racketeering is the extortion of money or advantage by threat or force, a pattern of illegal activity as extortion and murder that is carried out in furtherance of an enterprise as a criminal syndicate which is owned a controlled by those engaged in such activity. Keep in mind, keep that up on the screen to my producer, keep that up, Griff. Number one, extortion of money or advantage by threat of force. Obviously they're accusing P Diddy of that. When you say a pattern of illegal activity, and you said bad Boy Entertainment and you're labeling it a criminal enterprise, and then you use words like extortion and murder, keep in mind that's a very big thing. Do this or do that for money? Do this or do that? Give me some money, do this or do that, And I'm gonna have proof on you. By the way, I'm gonna force you or compel you to engage in a legal activity. I'm gonna have video tapes on you. I'm gonna have audio tapes on you. I'm gonna have evidence where you're gonna have to capitulate to my demands. So you're gonna need to do what I want you to do. That's extortion. It also mentioned murder. What do you think I'll be Shure is alluding to Kim Porter's gone, The mother of three children from P Diddy is gone, and I'll be sure goes on this Instagram page with three separate integram posts bringing this stuff up, imploring the society and the communities at large, particularly the hip hop and R and B community, to listen to what he had to say, imploring them to remember that he went to the authorities. He's speaking, he's singing. And then you couple all of that with sug Night, who ain't apologizing for a damn thing he's been associated with, got his own podcast from prison, which I have no doubt is popular in all likelihood. I don't know his numbers. I got to ask my social media people to look up his numbers. But I bet you he got followers and listeners. I bet you he does, because you know he gonna say some interesting stuff. And then you got this where Bell was denied, not once, but twice. I'm gonna repeat what I said the other day. Ladies and gentlemen, the gurgitate a point no matter what they tell you. And I'm not trying to say that the economy is not in a better place, the jobless rate is low, that people are not getting jobs or whatever. But inflation is inflation. The price of goods is the price of goods. Our national debt is a real, real thing. The inevitability of IRS coming after anybody who's making money is a fact. And P Diddy's team offered the system fifty million dollars for bail, and they said, no, we don't want your damn money. We want you. By the way, I brought up RICO charges because that is what's going up against P. Diddy, right. Look at the definition of RICO charges. Pay attention to it for yourself. Individuals can be charged under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Racketeer influenced and corrupt organizations, that's RICO, that RICO act if they engage in the affairs of an enterprise to a pattern of racketeering activity. RICO also makes it illegal to invest income derived from racketeering activities in any enterprise affecting interstate of foreign commerce. So read between those lines bad boy entertainment, illegal activity in the state lines, drugs, prostitution. The other day in the Parkado Hotel in Midtown, maybe the very last day Diddy was ever free for the rest of his life. He was with his boys. They had to move aside. Law enforcement was waiting for him. He came through the door, they cuffed them. You saw the video, and walked his ass right out and then wouldn't let him out despite fifty thousand, fifty million, I'm sorry, fifty million dollars for bond, they wouldn't take it. We want you now, we know they want them. They could simply want to set an example for him, or they could have been squeezing him because they know he can name others, which brings us back to sug Knight's quote. Put that back up there for me, please, on the screen for everybody to see. Not the piston and sit in comments. I'm talking about the first quotes that sug Knight made from his podcast Collect Call with sug Knight. I'll tell you what, Puffy, Your life is in danger because you know the secrets of who's involved in that little secret room you guys are participating in. You know they're gonna get you if they can. You know they gonna get you if they can. Now you look at got people walking around trying to figure out who the hell been at P Diddy parties. Well, a whole bunch of people been at P Disney parties. I was at one of his parties for I just didn't know it was one of his parties. I heard that there was a party. I showed up, wasn't at his house. I didn't see none of the stuff. By the way, I don't know if y'all saw on social media. But ice Q was performing in concert, and he said, let me let y'all know this right now. Y'all ain't got to worry about nothing popping up on us. I ain't been in no damn P Dippy P Diddy parties. He letting it be known. But there's a lot of people, very very solid. I don't want to mention any names because I don't want to incriminate anybody. So I ain't gonna mention any names. But let me tell you something. There's a lot of people who are conspicuously quiet and right now when I find myself scared of, fascinated by, and transfixed on, who's gonna resign next? After Kevin Lowles resigned before executive VP for Music Warner resigned the other day, today Diddy was arrested. Who else is anybody gonna come forward and speak up for Diddy? Not a soul. I haven't seen anybody. I ain't gonna lie to you this Homeland Security. That came after, not some local prosecutor, not even just the state attorney general, home Land Security. Now you got to I'll be sure you got sug night. You got people bringing up names like Justin Bieber and others who used to go to the parties and stuff like that. Ladies and gentlemen. We don't know who's been caught by the Feds, who've pled guilty, who've reached the deal, who's planning on testifying against p Diddy? For everybody sitting around wondering, Oh my god, who's gonna be the next body, who's going to be the next person arrested, indicted, et cetera, et cetera. Did it ever occur to y'all? It may have already happened. And the reason why they waited months to get Diddy is because they got the others painted a picture for them and got them to turn and dime them out. I don't know. I'm just speculating, but I'm speculating in a very educated fashion because I'm listening to prosecutors, I'm listening to lawyers, I'm listening to judges, and I know what the streets is saying. Basically, the hip hop community in R and B. The community is saying it's an informed perspective, that's what they call it. They believe they got an iron clad case against p Diddy. How could they possibly feel that way unless they got evidence and witnesses willing to testify under oath to the evidence. Damn, damn, damn. Coming up. NFL Week three has some surprise three and old teams. I'll get into the contenders and pretenders with my man CC to one and only Chris Carter. All he did was catch touchdowns. He's up next right here on the stephen A. Smith Show, very hell over the digital airways of YouTube and iHeartRadio. Okay, everybody you know what Tom it is. It's Toms for stephen a Sports Picks. Everybody knows that I'm a sports fanatic, and with the NFL season taking over, I need to be right there in the middle of all that action. But how do I do that? Exactly? There's only one way. I use Prize Picks. You see, Prize pects is the largest fantasy sports platform in all of the land, with more than three million members. You just choose two, three, or even up to six place and then pick more or less when they're projected stats for the game. But the best part is you can pick and chose players from any of the sports you love to watch, whether it's Josh Allen, Asia Wilson, or even Aaron Judge to judge himself and get this sign on a code that says yes and Prospects will give you fifty dollars instantly when you play your first five dollars lineup. You don't need to win your lineup to receive the fifty dollars bonus. It's guaranteed. All you have to do is play a five dollar lineup on Prospects and you'll get fifty dollars instantly. Now let's see my winning picks. I'll be picking for tonight's Monday night football game. Yard First up, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen more or less than two hundred and thirty and a half pass yards. This is the easy one for me. The way he's been playing, despite Stefan Diggs and Gabe Davis being gone, despite some bodies on that defense being gone, Buffalo not being the same, Josh Allen is still a stud. You talk about him playing the night against Jacksonville more, I'm going with more than two hundred and thirty and a half passing yards for Josh Allen. Let's go to Bengals receiver Jamar Chase going up against the Washington secondary. All right, more or less than seventy nine and a half yards receiving. I know Dan Quinn's a new coach there, I know the defense is supposed to be improved, but they're still a Washington commanders. I'm not sold, okay, So I'm going with more with Jamar Chase. Got a fifty million dollar insurance policy out on him. He could afford to be a bit reckless, go for it. Don't make business decisions like the Raiders were doing against the Carolina Panthers yesterday. Don't do that. But do I think he could make something of it and do some things? Yes? I do. I'm going with that more for Jamar Chase. Buffalo Bill's running back James Cook more or less than sixty three and a half yards rushing. This is an easy one for me. I'm gonna say, Yes, I watched them against Miami. Brother was making things happen. Still got skills, still got that you know, got that burst, And I think he could do some things. And I think they were in Buffalo tonight. I think they don't handle the ball enough. I think he's good for more than sixty three and a half yards, and last week at least Commander's running back, Brian Robinson Junior more or less than fifty five and a half yards rushing. Now you're a primary back, you gonna get the ball. Only question is whether or not you're gonna get the ball enough. I think he will, because are you really gonna look for dan Us to fling the football all over the place. No, he'll do some running for you. For Brian Robinson Junior will do most of the running. I think he's gonna get more than fifty five and a half yards rushing as well, So I'm picking more with him. So the recap, let's go with one quarterback which is Josh Allen, another wide receiver which is Jamar Chase, two running backs in James Cook and Brian Robinson Jr. I'm going with more on all of them. Why because it's prize picks, which means more money in your pocket if you choose right, and I really choose wrong. Welcome back to the Steven A. Smiths Show right here over the digital airways of YouTube. And of course iHeartRadio. Let's get right to the NFL. As I promised y'all we would get to some of the headlines from week three with my man, my next guest. You can catch him every Monday night right here on this show. He's a legend, He's a Hall of Famer. All the man did was catch touchdowns. I'm talking about my boy to one and only, Chris Carter. What's going on? Big Time?
How are you all good?
Bruh?
If you know I'm coming on the show every Monday?
Man, how how can you start your shows and talk about those shows and not talk about the Purple and what they're doing? Now?
Why why should I? Why should I? Oh?
Okay, that's the kind of attitude we're gonna have, Okay because me you.
You forget who your quarterback is if we talk about Sam Donnald. Okay, you can bring up what we're seeing over the first three games. You're giving me three games. I could give you six years of ineptitude on his part before these three games. What's the issue? Now?
I give you that.
But I also have seen you through the years change your stripers.
I saw you get on the Geno Smith vandwagon after the way he was barraged about his career early. So I do know that you believe that quarterbacks can make a comeback, and especially coaches like we have in Minnesota and Kevin O'Connor, who is doing a great job with the quarterbacks. And also i've heard you talk about Baker Mayfield, him getting the new life there in Tampa. Back neither one of them have the roster that Minnesota has. Neither one of them have the offensive person there that Minnesota has. So if you're gonna get if you're gonna continue to believe in those quarterbacks, you gotta give all police.
Gotta give our guys his credit.
I feel you on that. All right, give him a little credit. Ill give him a little bit of credit. But you're gonna bring up Geno Smith. I said something to him after he made the playoffs. You're gonna bring me up making Mayfield, I said center By after he beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs and then showed up years later in Tampa and he got them in a playoff. They beat the Eagles last year in the playoffs. Okay, you're giving me Sam Donald three games here, Sham Donald. Sam Donald dead ranked dead last in both completion percentage and passer rating in the NFL from twenty and eighteen to twenty and twenty three, among thirty nine quarterbacks with at least one thousand plus pass attempts. So that's what I'm looking at now, what I'm seeing right now, I ain't gonna front I like him, and I know Justin Jefferson is that dude. Once Addison comes back, they're gonna be even Mohockinson as well. I get all of that, But why should we be convinced, Why should we be convinced that what we're seeing from the Minnesota Vikers, who, by the way, were even talking about the lead off the show because they ran Roddy Houston yesterday. They were all over CJ and those boys. But why should we look at Sam Donald and believe that what was taking place the previous five or six years ain't gonna suddenly reoccur.
Right, Let's just say you ignore all the person that you ignore, the offensive head coach that we have in Ko, and then now you're gonna ignore the defense With Ryan Flores. That only conversation we have about him was did he affect to his career in the neck?
Now? We can argue that and a.
Couple of other shows, but he has a top five defense without top five personnet So what they're doing defensively, the amount of confusion that they have put.
On three straight weeks.
The New York Giants totally confused week number one, Josh Herdy huh, super Bowl quarterback, totally confused in week number two, and everyone's fading, ripping my buckey.
C J.
Strapp, a straight stud confused, didn't score until later in the third quarter. So it's just not about Sam Donald. This is about complimentary football. And without a Pro Bowl tight end and without another all star wide receiver that are out, you know, the Vikings are only gonna get better as the season goes on.
But but you see how you slick, You see how you slick. How you gonna mention San Francisco and don't bring up the fact that Christian McCaffrey's out. Okay, Deebo, Samuel got hurt. I mean they got some of their weapons, ain't there. You're just gonna bring up San Francisco like that.
Right right?
Absolutely, Cessens lost again. San Francisco's having problems. The Vikings exposed them. The Rams took advantage of that. Injuries are part of the game, like that everyone's doing. The Vikings got their own injuries and everything. Now the next two weeks, okay, they go to Green Gay and then myself and Randy Mass we're gonna be traveling with the Vikings to London when they played that bad Man in London.
Right, the next two weeks, right.
We'll we'll prove a lot as far as getting people on the bandag as far as though the Vikings really are.
Yeah, yeah, I want to see what Sam Donald gonna do against his former teams and that Jets defense. That's what I see. But let me transition to the Dallas Cowboyies because they don't have no damn excuse for injuries or anything like that. They can't run the football, can't stop the run, and because of that is why they continuously find themselves in holes. Over the last three they've outscored eighty three to twenty nine. It's a fifty four point margin in the first half of their last three home losses, the playoff lost to Green Bay and of course getting ran righted by the Saints last week and then getting beat up by the Baltimore Ravens for the first three quarters yesterday Dallas this season. I mean they I remember one of my colleagues said, they don't have a spine. You can attack the middle. All day. I was begging Jerry Jones to go ahead and get Derek Henry. I tried to be helped. I mean me, I tried to help out to Dallas calvity. I tried to give them assistance. Okay, they wouldn't listen, Go get Dereck Henry. He's gonna be able to run the ball. He's going to protect Dak Prescott because he can run the ball, and you ain't asking them to throw more. And on top of it, all the front running defense that the Dallas Cowboys are. Guess what you can do. Bottom line is you put them, You give them a lead and let them be able to go outter the quarterback. But you see this number right here, one hundred and fifty one till fifty one. That's Dereck Henry out rushing the Dallas Cowboys entire running game yesterday. What you got to say about the Cowboys, bro.
Well, first of all, Jerry's jenens wanted him to come on a Dallas discast. You know he makes his home there in the offseason he works out there and they didn't even offer him the type of contract it was serious about him coming.
So that's the reason why he went to Baltimore.
Baltimore is a more proven commodity, especially with their head coach and especially in a playoff situation absent of you know, their quarterbacks. We have known Baltimore the last twenty years as being one of the marquee franchises that we had.
So Jerry's saying that it was too much.
Money, we know, when you're a billionaire, you can buy whatever you want to. He wasn't going to concentrate on the running game. His fallback plan was going back, and Jerry does this. Once you come to Jared and to play for him, he loves you. His fallback plan was to get Ezekiel Elliott on a much reduced contract because he didn't know how much he was going to have to pay Ceedee Lamb or goat Prescott. He ended up paying more money on both of them than he ever expected to pay. And I believe that that helps get in the way of signing someone like Derrick Henry, because Perry is wrong in doing that. And then now you talked about campaign and out loud for Bill Belichick to be the head coach of the Calfulist. And I am telling you, stephen A, now you are talking about oil and water, and they do not miss. This is not a good miss. Bill Belichick cannot run this franchise. He cannot run the salary of the cap. He is not gonna pay Dak Prescott sixty millions. He's not gonna pay ced Lanny. They're gonna have to gut the whole roster to put a roster out there that he wants to see and how he wants to see it. So, yes, Jerry wants to win his way, but Bill Belichick is selfish and strong landed. He wants to win his way. He can't fool me with this media campaign. He's out all self and dufty with everybody. Oh man, he's got all the answers and soon he become a head coach. That's what he does.
In Prescott.
He acts like a Donner, acts like he doesn't know anything about football. So I realize he's trying to rehab rehab his image in the media so that he can get a coaching job.
But it will not be the Dallas Cowboys.
That's fine. It may not be the Dallas Cowboys, But here's what I think you're missing. I didn't say it was gonna be the Dallas Calbalis. I said it would have been a perfec match. That man wants to coach football. He don't want to talk to the media. Jerry Jones want to talk to the media all day. So you got a cat that wants to be in front of the cameras and wants to talk to the media, and a dude that just wants to go out on a football field on Sundays or Mondays or Thursdays and win damn football games. That's what I'm thinking. And oh, by the way, what about this notion Chris. Anything he's gonna do is gonna be better than Mike McCarthy. The fact of the matter is you got the bright lights, you got the allure of Dallas, the pressure that comes with the star and the playing in a billion dollar playpen and being an America's team. Who's the one person that could get get Cats locked in and zeroed in and let them know, Yo, you might not have a job tomorrow bumping around with me. You better handle your business. That would be Bill Belichick. What do I got to lose. If I'm the Dallas Cowboys, what do I got to lose?
I disagree with you because all cats are not gonna respond for his voice, and that's why New England went after a certain type of guy. There was a certain part in his CA career that he was able to do that too. When you have a roster like the Calvarys have, he is not going to do that. Now.
Do I think he should get ahead of coaching the league?
Again?
Yes, I just don't believe it's in doubts. Check this out where he used to work. I believe he's more student. Michael Prictey has not done anything he would make him lose his job at Dubtas, so we shouldn't be talking about this job.
But the guy who's Nike McCarthy has done nothing to lose his job.
Twelve and five and going home in the postseason every time.
But you also are the players that Jerry Simons Okay, they can't stop it. No, he's believing in the playoffs. What's he supposed to do about that? Offensively, he's an offensive minded coach. He has a great game plan and he has Dak Prescott playing the best football he's ever played.
That is his job.
Would you agree with me on that before I perceive the point?
No, No, I don't. I don't agree with you on that because he's a Super Bowl champion coach. He's a guy that's coaching about four or five NFC championship games. He's not just some offensive mind. The dude win the head coach a job. He has been an overseer. He has been somebody who's been a head coach pretty much for the vast majority of his career. There's no wi you can't look at Mike McCarthy and be like this, well, office, I mean, that's his responsibility. Was he supposed to do? You're supposed to find a way to work around the personnel that you have. If you can win twelve games during the regular season, how come you can't win at least two during the postseason.
I don't think that's a Mike McCarthy question. I think that's a Dan Queen and Al Harris, the defensive coordinators there. They could have some injuries down on the stretch end. He can't beat nobody and he can't stop them money, and that's what led to their demands.
Okay, not only this year. But that's where they were last year.
So there's a guy in Washington's the head coach now that was responsible guy promoted off that defense. So I think that's an appropriate question for someone in Washington. Bill answer not.
In docs now, Guy, I think you being a big diplomatic man, you run a for office. You are the office wonder for Off's office.
Bro.
If I am, I'm going back to Philadelphia because I do believe that Bill Belichick would be a perfect fit in Pheladelphia. I do believe Roseman managed the salary cap and let Bill coach football. I do leave that's championship because nicky Okay, so what every week looks like?
That's where I was going. What you job say about Nick Sirianni.
Hevery college coach.
Every week he is taking bade old mistakes down on when during the game, but he loses the press conference. He comes to the press conference just so I said, every mistake on the field is the head coach's fall.
Now that's a lot.
You can't start the press commerce with a big lie. You called the perfect play to the flat throw at the barkley. He doesn't catch it, Okay, Now it's a bad call. Because you called the perfect play and your star player he started in getting number one and game number three didn't do what he normally does. But if you look at his decisions, there is no rhyman reason. There are no analytics that would support him going for it on fourth than and then going for a field though, like there's no sheet that that's on that he's going off of field. He's like a guy playing black jacket sometime on a hit on sixteen. Sometimes I'm gonna stay like, man, he is a disaster waiting to happen there in Philadelphia. They have too much time that they cannot overcome their bad coaching.
Well, why are you bringing him up? And you're not bringing up Jalen Hurts, who's got to was leading the NFL with twenty six turnovers since last season. Why you he's got six turnovers in the first three games this year. Why you bringing Nick Sirianni up and we can't bring up our brother Jalen Hurts? Why not?
No, that would be the next conversation as an elite player endless league. You know Thenny Green, our coach used to tell us, a man, it's a nice exotic sports car you're driving the quarterback. You're driving, we're all sitting in this path. Every time you turn the ball over, it to a crash. So it's like someone in the car can pass away. Could be faith, Every turnover can be faith. He doesn't treat the football that way, so there needs to be a greater emphasis on him not putting the ball in arms rate. And also you have to go to your play caller and because he's air prone, and develop a gaming plan that helps her tell some of this by not putting the ball because I'm not going to let it.
I got two questions for you about the Eagles in comparison to the Cowboys. Number One, who needs the operative word is need CC? Who needs Bill Belichick Moore as a head coach? The Eagles or the Cowboys?
The Eagles the Cowboys have more personality personnality issues that can't be fixed, like when you don't have run stoppers, like and you don't have good lockers on the offensive line, so you can't even competitive practice against each other to get better.
So the physicality of playing football.
They're not good. Do they have some good players? Can they pile up some stats and everything? Can they win double digit games?
Yes?
But the physicality when you are not a superior team on the offensive line, which they are not and haven't been for the last couple of years. And then defensively they're nice the Lawrence on the edge of Parson only. They are nice, But like a baseball team, man, they are weak through the middle, and you can't play championship football defensively if you're weak through the Midsica, if.
You had your druthers looking at Mike Zimer, who's a former head coach at your squad of Minnesota Viks, former head coach of the Minnesota vik is not a defensive coordinator in Dallas having replaced Dan Quinn, who's that head coach with the command is in Washington. If you had your druthers, you keep Mike Zimmer, or you sit up there and make a call to ESPN and say, you know what, we want our man Rex Ryan to be the next defensive coordinator for this team.
What do you do, man?
Don't do that to res MANX, don't do this therecs man.
Rex got a good job.
Sunday countdown him and Green was talking about people's seat this morning and everything.
Just happy to go lucky back and they don't have the person there.
They don't have the attacked style that he wants to play like man when you look at him, man, he has some mallish that zero gap one gap to man. You look at him, he got some space heat every team he's ever been on, so that a linebackers can roam free. They do have the secondary, especially when they get their other cornerback and will play that type. But don't do that direct now, Mike Zimmer is an acquired pace. But you have to realize this is a sucker's job. Anybody that takes that. When the head coach in the last year of his contract, they just spent over two hundred million on the quarterback, another one hundred and fifty million on the wide receiver. That's a sucker's job for a defensive quarter I got to come in there one years a stop gap.
I could do a great job and still get fired. So you get someone like Zimba who really.
Didn't have anything going on that you know that he could jump on and say, yes, I can do that, especially this relationship you know with Jerry. So that's a bad job.
Let me transition to the Pittsburgh Steel as my team, because up until this week I was at a mindset. Hell, I ain't seeing enough from Justin Field to tell me I don't even think about Russell Wilson. Let me see what he's got. But considering the way Justin Fields played yesterday, twudred and forty five yards passes to touchdown passes, although he's doing interceptions, running with the football effectively, not really turning the football over, protecting the football, making good decisions, looking like a far much better quarterback in Pittsburgh than he ever looked like in Chicago. When you look at what you're seeing from Justin Fields, is it time to say the experiment or the intrigue has come to an end, that this is Justin Field's job and that's the way it should stay in Pittsburgh.
No, because we've seen him for four years and we know that fundamentally he's not going to be a great passer. Now, does he have a better support in cast This is really about coaching and identity. When he went to Chicago, the identity was save the franchise. Excuse me, he is not a save the franchise quarterback. He was still very very young as a passer, and it was too much pressure and they didn't have the personnel to be able to do this. Now you come to Pittsburgh and they acquired Russell, they're so so less of pressure's on him every single day when you have a top five defense, the way they do, the way they put pressure on the opposition, the way they make the opposition turn the ball over, they might have the best non quarterback in why playing football. So the amountain pressure that he is under is totally different. So game number one, small little game plan. I came on and showed then and said, hey man, just be careful. It's still going to be better with Russell because they can win more different ways. Week number two, Oh he did a little bit better. Oh yeah, So we gave him a little more offensive, expanded it, and you can see and week number four, especially in from.
Quarter to to quarter number four, they opened up the game plan. They gave him some throws that he was comfortable with, and like I told you, he can throw the ball accurately. But his ability to hit people.
In stride and get yards after the kids, that's what made his numbers a little more inflated. But you gotta give him credit because he graduated from game one game plan to game two to Game three I'm gonna tell you after a month, then we can really start having these conversations. And Russell, knowing that he's new in Pittsburgh two and on a one year contract, he would even start to understand that if the kid rips all four or five wins, then.
I'm disappointed in your take. I ain't gonna lie. I ain't go from I'm disappointing your take Russell.
Wilson to me, what has he shown you to say? Okay, I mean, don't get me wrong.
A week ago, I'm still saying I'm willing to see Russell Wilson. But even though I was at twenty six touchdowns eight of the last year, he had an up and down road in Denver last year. The year before that he was awful. The year before that in Seattle, he wasn't that great. So we've seen a precipitous slide in Russell Wilson over the last three years. Why couldn't that be enough to say, hell with that man, we're gonna roll with justin fields rather than what you just articulated, Well, really.
You down played how he played last year. Last year, if he played better than you're giving him credit for, he played good football last season, he didn't deserve to be and it was all about money if Sean Payton and power there and deming which led him to end up in Pittsburgh. But he played better in last year's season that deserves in my mind. And the other reason is Justin Fields has only played Russell Wilson the last three weeks when he's met murder. Even in those seasons were Russell wasn't playing well, he still played better than Justice Media.
So when you look at the numbers and.
It's because of expectations, I can understand why people would be campaigning for him.
Justin Bieldy, this is the most consistent three weeks that he has had in the NFL.
So yeah, Aquaud, but man, the stability of the Pittsburgh franchise, the stability of Mike Thomin talking in your ear man with that voice, that leadership every single day, it's bringing out the best in the kid. Let's see some more. And there's nothing wrong with saying I just need to see a little more.
Well, I'm let me ask you this. You got some three in oh teams Kansas City. I don't like what I'm seeing from them. I'm not worried about Patrick Mahomes. I'm worried about the fact that Pacheco is out with an injury. Clyde, it was the Liz going to be out, you know, post traumatic stress. He's not going to be back for a few more games, obviously. So I'm looking at you know, Travis Kelce not doing much for receptions for thirty yards yesterday, but in the same breath him and most tight ends in the NFL ain't doing but so great this year as well. That's a team to be concerned with. That's number one. Number two, I'm looking at another three and oh team in Seattle, or the new coach Mike McDonald did handling their business at three and oh with Gino Smith at the quarterback, I'm wondering how legit they are. So I'm looking at Kansas City, I'm looking at Minnesota, I'm looking at Seattle, and I'm wondering, when you see these undefeated teams, who's the fluke amongst them? Who's the fluke?
Hmm.
It's hard to win a NFL game, So to say a team is a flupe and they won three in a row, maybe the scheduling gods were in their favor and they got two games at home, had an easy game on the road. You can say that about the Vikings lined up with the Giants in New York, New Jersey the first week had the Texans and had the forty nine ers at home. Now the Vikings have the best home field advantage enemy the NFL, like they got real proud.
Why why Because the people love their Vikings and the way the stadium is field.
I'm getting on. I'm getting on you here and now I forgive you. I forgive you because you were out there before. I mean, listen, it was cold as hell in Minnesota some years you played there. So you see the new stadium in the zone and everything, it looks good and stuff like that. I get that part. But in the end, the best fans in America. Come on. Now, every Sey NFL city you go to, every NFL city you go to, you see that.
No, no, no, listen, I said best home field advantage. I'm talking about.
Crowd is in sync with the game. They know exactly when the cheer. They're gonna always support their team. They are very seldom ever booth their team. They look every weekend as an event. In Minnesota. That's what I'm trying to tell you. I'm just trying to give you some local knowledge. So as you start to see these teams the way see Album used to have that advantage, Minnesota has that. Didn't you see that in Rock Party the Super Bowl team? Didn't you see that in CJ.
Stroud.
Now with that defense that they can put pressure on the quarterback, that's only going to get better. So Minnesota is for real. Settle I think that they are better. Their division is so tough, but I think Seattle is better than what teams anticipated.
But man, you have to give a team credit.
Man, if they can go three and o, now a chance to go a whole month undefeated, you're talking about special stuff.
There will only be maybe three to four teams that go a.
Month undefeated in the NFL season, and D seams already have three wins and need one more.
That's impressive and you got to get the people credit.
Well, I mentioned I mentioned Pittsburgh earlier, but those are the four undefeated teams at three and ozer and Buffalo's undefeated going into tonight's game at two and oh. So we'll see what happens. I just think something wrong with you because you talk about Minnesota's for real with Sam Donald at the quarterbacks. But I just don't understand it. But before I get you on out there, let me transition real quick to college football. We saw Shador Sanders throw up to hell Mary, they got a touchdown. Ultimately it went in the overtime and Colorado survived versus Bayla. We know that anytime we bring up Colorado, we know what we really really talking about. We really talked about Deon Sanders and what Deon Sanders has the potential to do now coming into this season after going four and eleven last year, going through a six game winn the Street, losing seven of their last eight games after the three and oh start, and then transitioned into the Big twelve. Everybody who was looking at Colorado and saying, what the hell are they gonna do? But right now they two on one in the season. I'm wondering how you feeling about the job Deon Sanders is doing. What are you seeing?
I think that Dion has definitely upgraded the program. And that's the only end of the talent. When you go into a situation like that, you need so much as far as the support staff to be able to turn around the culture there now Dion brought a lot of eyeballs, He brought a lot of social media, He brought a lot of blame. But this is just about principal people you can trust in and out the building. Every recruit that he gets there, they have to fly them. There are not enough good players in a two car hour ride radius that most colleges co coaches look at two hours in a car, four hours in the car. What kind of kids cannot of recruit? Dem does not have that advantage, So he's got to bring all that sizzle and all that attention. Now they have an NFL quarterback, They have one of the best players I have seen play college football in my life coming in Travis Hunt. But to be able to Deon's created this atmosphere. But you know, I work at Florida Atlantic University here in Boca Ratona and player development, player engage. These kids can't handle that atmosphere. So Deon it's a blessing. The university's making a lot of money. They're getting a lot of eyeballs and clips, but when you come there as a college player, they don't have the And I do believe that's far the main tank.
Having every little Wayyon having.
All these stars like these kids have not grown up that way and college football is tough. So he is doing a great job. He's grown the program, he's got people believing the economics, he's turned around in that area. But I don't think this is sustainable over a five year period. So for me, Dion is to get this right. This is not Dion's dream job, and Dion will be on the look always.
In an ideal, perfect world, where would you love to see Dion Sanders coaching in college football?
Florida statement, it's meant to be Florida.
The bottom of one of his mentors is Florida born, and he will get the kids in Florida. That's a state university. You're talking about a powerhouse. You're talking about special. Now, he does not have a coaching credential of Nick Satan, But when Nick's saving left the Dolphins and said I'm not ever going back to pro football and the resources of Alabama and may Meta, that's where you saw magic. If Dion would get the Florida state, I do believe that could be magic.
Well, listen, listen, you had a point about that crowd in Minnesota because Stephan Diggs and the Houston, Texans were sitting up there and complaining about that noise of that crowd in Minnesota. So you've got that point there, but I'm gonna disagree with you on this point. You know where my ideal place for primetime Dion Sanders would be the SEC. I wish he had got the Texas A and M job. I'd love to see him at Florida. Florida State had their chance to grab their form of All American and to make sure they put him out there, but they chose novel. And obviously he did a great, great job last year. This year not so much. But could you imagine could you imagine Prime Tom and the Swamp? Could you imagine that?
I know that's a good name. I'm in the college football.
If there's someone in Florida's looking for him, and they got a head coach right now, they're going to Mississippi and get mister lane Kiffy lane Kiffin's coaching pedigree, his offense, the excitement that he brings to a university into a campus.
Hey, it's one of the count and I believe he's ready for that kind of job.
CEC the one and only Chris carr All. He did was catch touchdowns Ted. He made a couple of mistakes. He made a couple of mistakes going up against them. But that's okay, that's okay, That's how I go. I love you, bro, man, I see you next week, Man, I talk you next week.
Man.
All right, man, the one and only Chris Carter right here on the Stephen A. Smith Show, over the digital areas of YouTube, and of course iHeartRadio. Up next, got to get the quick hitters, Asia Wilson League MVP, Caton and Clark Rookie of the Year, prime time and a miracle, And of course Anthony Joshua ruined my heavyweight championship hopes yet again in boxing. All of that, plus man who allegedly and proudly called himself a black Nazi running for a gubernatorial scene. You know I'm gonna touch on that. All that and more coming up next right here on the Stephen THEE. Smith Show, don't go away. I want to take a second to make sure everyone knows we're smack in the middle of the NFL season and I couldn't be more excited. And with games being played Thursday night, Sunday night, and Monday night, prospects want to help you cash in on all that big time action you see. Prospects is a daily fantasy act where you can pick two or more of your favorite players and then you simply select the more or less on their projected stats for the game. Pick up player's rushing yards, passing yards, total touchdowns. The list is absolutely endless, and the best part is Prospects has something for every sports fan. Choose sort the WNBA, MLB, MMA, even golf for crying out loud, all in the same entry. I make my pix and submit early or less than sixty seconds. By the way, that's the time that it takes for Drake London to take a pass from Kirk Cusins all the way to the house and get this sign up with code SAS and Prospects will give you fifty dollars instantly when you play your first five dollar lineup. You don't need to win your lineup to receive the fifty dollars bonus. It's guaranteed. All you have to do is play as a five dollar lineup on Prospects and you'll get fifty dollars instantly. Pick more, pick less. It's really really that easy. Now that we've got that done, let's get to some quick hitters before we go to break. Okay, First up in the business, Asia Wilson, unanimous League MVP for the w NBA. Okay, we got to start out with that, all right. We got to get that out of the way as well, because we're starting out west. This is the Las Vegas Aces we are talking about, who began their title defense yesterday against the Seattle Storm. But now before Asia Wilson received her third career MVP award and a vote again was unanimous. Wilson and the Aces went on to beat the Storm seventy eight to sixty seven. She finished the game with twenty one points, eight boards, five blocks. Who gives a damn about that? For second here, fourth, second here, let's understand this MVP in twenty twenty MVP in twenty twenty two, fourth play in WNBA history to win three MVPs joined Cheryl Swoops two thousand and two thousand and two, two thousand and five. Yes, Cheryl Swoops, we mentioned your name in a very positive way. Okay, Okay, we're giving you love, all right. Lisa Leslie two thousand and one, two thousand and four to two thousand and six, and of course Lauren Jackson two thousand and three, two thousand and seven, twenty ten. Asian Wilson received those sixty seven first place votes from a national panel of sports riders and broadcasters, making it the first unanimous w NBA MVP since the Houston Common Cynthia Cooper in the league's inaugural season of nineteen ninety seven. I want y'all look at this right here, right This is Asia Wilson's seventh year, averaging twenty six point nine points, eleven point nine rebounds, two point six blocks, one point eight steals thirty eight games. She ranked first in the WNBA in both points and blocs, second in rebounds, fifth and steals, fourth and minutes, and setting career highs in all five per game categories. All right, chocill finish seventh in the league in field goal percentage of fifty one point eight percent. The girl is big time. She is the face of the league. Major major props to her, none but love for her. She deserves all the accolades. We know that she may not be the most popular, but she is certainly the best. Deserves it so and one of the reasons I picked the Las Vegas Aces to three p because I'm saying, you got to show me somebody gonna beat them in a playoff series for me to believe it, because I ain't believing it just like that, because Asia Wilson is too phenomenal. Okay, so that's quick hit number one. Let me get to number two. Caitlyn Clark, who by the way, was named Rookie of the Year surprise surprise, made a w NBA playoff debut yesterday and struggled, to say the least. Clark and the Indiana Fever war in a row for Game one of their series against the Connecticut Sun and were blown out ninety three to sixty nine. They got there, they got their butts kicked with this bottom line, Clark scored only eleven point shooting a mid four or seventeen from the floor two or thirteen for three point range. And to make matters worse, she finished the game with a black guy after she was poked by to Johnny Carrington who tried to block her shot. Nobody's accusing Carrington of doing it on purpose, by the way, because we know how drama filled people can be trying to make these salacious allegations. Here's the thing about Caitlin Clark that I want to bring up how y'all feel now. I still stand by everything that I said. I still stand by the fact that she should have been on Team USA. I still stand by the fact that she was big time. I still stand on the fact that a rising tide lifts all boats, and everybody should have rolled that way for Team US and beyond. And then you had some jealousy, not by most, not by all, but there were some people within the w NBA players, pundits, etc. That we're trying to tear her down, trying to tear her down, and so how y'all look now, see, I love how everybody trying to change the argument. My man Shay Shake Shannon Shot went off about it this morning, how there were so many people getting at people like him, getting that, people like me and others trying to change the freaking narrative. When we were pointing stuff out, we were trying to blow her up unnecessarily. When people were trying to knock her down, they were trying to bring credibility to the argument. They weren't jealous. The reality is is that we got a lot of players, a lot of these wonderful ladies who bust their tails to make the WNBA what it was. Here's the reality. It wasn't what it is. It wasn't what it is. The quality of basketball may have been up to snuff, and you had somebody as popular as Sheryl Swoops who had her own signature shoe, had a deal with Nike and all of this other stuff, but the bottom line is very few people gave her damn. If you are making the argument that ladies who helped build the NBA deserve far more shine that they were getting, you have every right to feel that way. What you have to respect, however, is that the paying customer, the audience didn't feel that way. They did not give a damn about the WNBA for years. Is that fair that the ladies know it isn't fair, It's not right, But they're a paying customer. You don't tell them what they want. They tell you what they want, and they really were not feeling the WNBA to the degree that they're feeling the WNBA now, obviously because of Caitlyn Clark, who's selling out games and got the Indiana Fever selling out games more than they sell out payer games. Everywhere they go, selling out ratings, All Star Game ratings, Opening Night ratings, WNBA Draft ratings. We know what tom it is, and to act like there isn't or hasn't been legitimate resentment emanating from those who are pioneers, nobody's fooled here. You got pundits who used to play in the WNBA, some of them who didn't, and who was speaking on behalf of those who didn't want to create that kind of noise themselves because of the negative impact. We talk about it when the men do it. If we detect jealousy, if we detect envy, if we detect resentment, and it's amongst the fellas, we put it out there. Shit, we act like it's the latest episode in General Hospital. But when the ladies are feeling that way about another young lady like Caitlin, and people like myself in Shayshay call it out. Suddenly it's a problem. Come on. We can act like we don't know, but we know. I know that was supposed to be a quick hit, but damn it, it's my shof Then I didn't feel like being that quick on that subject. I will be quick on this though. Turning back to college football, real quick, y'all heard me allude to the miracle, that miracle win that Don sends in the Colorado Buffalos pulled off Saturday night against Bella. Colorado was down seven points with two seconds left in the game when Shador Sanders throw a forty nine yard hell Mary pass that was caught by l John Tae Wester in the end zone. Colorado went on to winning overtime thirty eight thirty one. Here's what I'm gonna tell y'all. First of all, as Chris Carter allude to Travis Hunter's spectacular. Secondly, Shadoor Sanders ain't far behind. The only question I got about Shador say, is this as size Outside of that, that brother is special. He clearly got it from his daddy's jeans. He is special, He really, really really is. And last, but not least, let me say this about my brother, Dion Sanders, who Paul Finebaum accused me of being subservient to the mouth of the South, who's subservient to SEC teams all day, every day, half the time compared to teams and other conferences, got the audacity to unmitigated goal to call me subservient to anybody but the Lord. What nerves? But I love Paul, so I ain't no big deal. But now I wasn't being subservient. I was just being factual. When the door Sanders refused to shake the hand of the Colorado State quarterback that he beat up twenty eight to nine. After that kid was talking mad mad Mester about him leading up into the game. I ain't blame him one bit, but I will say this, rather than us focus on all the drama about the cal for the Colorado Buffalo's ladies and gentlemen, I know last year they started out three and oh before nose diving. They three and one. Right now, they three and one right now. I can't ignore that. I gotta give love with lovers due. Remember you win six seven games, so six to seven games, yo, you're in a bowl game. If Dion Sanders pulled that off, we might need to be talking about a different narrative when it come to that. Man, I'm just saying, let me get to the last one, and this is boxing and this ain't gonna be that quick of a take, so get the hell over it. And my producers are listening, get the hell over it. This ain't gonna be that quick. Because I'm disgusted. It's My last quick hitter comes from the world of boxing, where former two time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua was knocked out by IBF heavyweight title holder Daniel du Boy. And this fight wasn't even close. Y're the boys came in as an underdog, knocked down Joshua three times in a fight before a vicious right to the jew finished them in the fifth round. Joshua this loss was his fourth professional defeating and it also denied him the chance to become a three time world heavyweight champion. I need to take a a quick drink of water before I say what I'm about to say, because I'm kind of pissed off.
Now.
I met Anthony Joshua once. I want to say that as a human being, he's one of the nicest human beings you could ever meet. Obviously, he's a skill boxer with tremendous power in his punches that can't be ignored fair enough. But strictly, why does a human being as a boxer. I can't stand his ass. I can't stand his ass. I'm over him, you see, because as a boxing lover, looking at him right there, got his face looking like Martin when he boxed Tommy Hitman. Hearns on the show Martin Lawrence. Okay, Anthony Joshua, Do y'all have any idea how many mega fights he's ruined? So let's go down the list. He's a big time fighter, beats Vladimir Klitchko, stops him to win a big fight, biggest fight, biggest win of his career. Remember that. Remember he was supposed to fight. He was supposed to fight Deontay Wilder, a knockout artist, make no mistake. But then he got stopped by Andy Ruiz, Remember that, and then had to come back and get the rematch and ultimately won by decision Dan. It was supposed to be Wilder again or potentially Tyson Fury, but got beat by U Sick Remember that. Remember that? And now here you are talking about the possibility of him fighting Tyson Fury. And what does he do. He gets his ass knocked out by the boys who talks smack to him during the promotion of the fight, so much so that Anthony Joshua got off of his chair. Don't disrespect me, you don't disrespect me, and they got his ass kicked. Yo, y'all, that was an ass kicking. That was an ass kicking. I mean, you come there and you getting dropped, you getting knocked upside your head. He got a glass jaw. I'm talking about in terms of boxing for heavyweights. I like Anthony Joshua as a person. I don't root against him, but I'm tired of him ruining big fights. Let me tell y'all a little story that once happened. Okay, remember when y'all heard the story about Deontay Wilder. And I love Deontay Wilder. He's another good brother. But let me I gotta be real about this ant Deontay Wilder. Everybody knows it's not a great boxer. He's an elite nuclear bomb of a puncher. That's who he is, which makes any fight he's in interesting because one punch can end it for you with this brother, that's how much power he has. Do you remember when he was looking for the trilogy against Tyson Fury, Ladies and gentlemen, I beg Deontay Wilder, please don't do that. He was complaining about how he wore that heavy ass costume into the sequel the second fight, and that took away his legs and that's why he had lost to Tyson Fury. And then Tyson Fury wanted to move on, but Deontay Wilder had sued him to give him a trilogy. I remember saying to Deontay Wilder, Yo, bro let the brother fight Joshua. You take extra time, work on your skills, save your body, and you de mandatory challenger for the winner.
That's how you do that.
But now now he insisted on a trilogy with Tyson Fury. Here was the problem with Tyson Fury. Tyson Fury said, Yo, they were promoting the fight once the lawyers in the legal system made him fight the you know, the sanction of bodies made him fight Deontay Wilder. He said, fine, he came across the pond to promote the fight. Deontay Wilder go back and look at the press conference, and he's wearing his headphones and he refused to answer any questions from the media. Said that's all it needed to be said and all it needs to be said. And Tyson Fury said, were supposed to be promoting the fight, So let me tell you all how this is gonna happen. One of us got to promote the fight, so I'm gonna do it. He said, he can't box I'm gonna come into the fight, and he said, and he's gonna be a stationary target for me, even when I miss. I'm gonna lean on him and I'm gonna take his legs away because I'm gonna come into the fight thirty five or forty pounds heavier than him. And he said, there's nothing he can do about it. And why am I telling you all this? Because he's too dumb to do anything about it. That's what he said about Deontay Wilder and then went into the ring for the trilogy and did it. Now, he got dropped twice in the fourth round, but he did it. My only point in saying that is, why would you voluntarily fight a dude that's thirty forty pounds heavier than you and exert that level of energy. Why not let him go there against Joshua where Joshua got the skills and the punching power to potentially take Tyson Fury out, even though I think Tyson Fury would have knocked him out too, but you never know. Meanwhile, you buy yourself time to go in there against Tyson Fury, and if you don't and if he doesn't beat or hadn't beaten Anthony Joshua. You could have took Joshua courting with one of your right hands and you would have been the champion. Deontay Wilder didn't listen and went in and fought the trilogy against Tyson Fury got knocked out in that fight, and now here we are looking for yet another mega fight from Anthony Joshua and instead we see him get knocked out. Damn it. Once again, a big time heavyweight fight ruined by an Anthony Joshua loss, not once, not twice, but three times. This shit has happened with him. Damn, damn, damn. That's all I want to say about that. Coming up, I'll get into some politics, specifically in North Carolina, a swing state in the presidential election, by the way, but I want to focus on a gubernatorial race and a man Donald Trump dubbed quote Martin Luther King on steroids. He happens to be somebody that allegedly once called himself a damn black Nazi. Proudably. That's next on the stephen A. Smith Show. You know, I ain't walking away from these subjects, especially especially that one. Back with more in a minute now before I get on out of here for today. Let's get to some politics please, where the North Carolina gubernatorial race has suddenly come in a focus. That's because multiple staff is from Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson's campaign, Who's Republican by the way, stepped down following a CNN investigative report last week. The story detailed inflammatory comments he reportedly made more than a decade ago on a porn website message board. The reported comments were salacious, as Robinson, who is black, called himself a quote black nazi end quote, a quote perv end quote, and even condoned slavery. Robinson was interviewed by CNN and the not he wrote the comments that will on a porn website's message board. As for his ties to Donald Trump, Democrats launched the tac ads, highlighting Robinson's relationship to the Republican presidential nominee. Meanwhile, Trump himself dodged questions about Robinson, saying his campaign is focused on winning the state. Robinson was not, I repeat not, invited to a Trump rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, this weekend. A couple of things. Number One, if Robinson said that, he didn't say that. I appreciate that, but he didn't say. He didn't say that. He said he didn't put the quotes on the website. He was not responsible for that. I recall nothing where he's adamantly denying unequivocally that he condoned slavery, that he called himself a black Nazi. Those two I'm not gonna get into the purve part. Those two things are incriminating enough as a black man. As a black man, what would you possibly have why would you possibly have the desire to associate you associate yourself with being a Nazi. We know what Nazis were right or what they are right. We know that anti Semitism is the number one thing that props up when you think about someone being a Nazi. Are you associating or disassociating yourself with that? I don't know what he said. I did not see the interview as it pertains to him condoning slavery. That's one of the things that I believe any black person who favorably associates themselves with that is the epitome of being a freaking sellout. So let's get that out the way a matter of fact, to be fair and even handed here, it's one of the things that I held against Kamala Harris, the fact that when Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis literally alluded towards there being positive elements or benefits to slavery, I'm like, and then challenging her to the debate, I'm like, that's something you jump at just that subject the loan. You want to debate a black person about that name, the time and place, and we should show up if you are a politician, And a well known politician who was going to be a presidential candidate was literally trying to make that case. As for Mark Robinson himself, they said that Staffords, you know, resigned in mass essentially want nothing to do with him, and they shouldn't. And if you're the Republican Party, whether it's Donald Trump as the presidential nominee, as the Republican presidential nominee, or it's anybody in the Republican Party, see this is an opportunity for you as Republicans to disassociate yourself from this nonsense. If you truly are sincere and authentic with how you feel, why would you want to have any kind of association with a person like that. Trump not inviting him to his rally and women to North Carolina. Trump distancing himself in every way imaginable would be the right thing to do. Democrats pouncing on it because he's a Republican nominee for a gubernatorial seat is very political, politically expedient. They should go after him. They should if that is truly what he said. Now, if they lying on them, that would be wrong and cruel. If they're fabricating, if they're making it up, that would be wrong and cruel to associate such incendiary rhetoric to anybody, any human being.
But if he's guilty of that shit, yeah, get him, tear him down, damn right.
And if you are a Republican, white, black, Latino and everything in between, you should condemn it as well. You ain't saying the man should be killed, just saying a man shouldn't be in higher office, that's what you're saying. And by the way, the presidency isn't the only higher office in the land.
