Buying a home for the first time is not like how it was in days gone by. Whether it's the shortage of homes in the state or corporations who purchase properties to convert into rentals, Californians are having a hard time creating their forever home. 

In efforts to minimize this issue, a San Jose lawmaker is pushing for a bill to prevent companies from owning more than one thousand single family homes for the purpose of renting them out in California.
